Good location, but unfortunately I realised too late there was bed bugs in my windowless room. Checked out a day early. They offered to clean my room or to switch rooms, but bed bugs are not that easily to get rid off. Expedia team attempted to reach out to manager for refund for my last night but to no avail.

I have stayed many times at Casa Naemie. Its a comfortable no frills hotel . The beds are excellent. It has aircon or ceiling fans. I hate aircon. So I use the fans. Perfect. I love thebreakfast. Best coffee and scrambled eggs in the Colonial Zone.

Half of the staff were quite kind, while the other half made the stay more difficult than it should have been. This second group seemed entirely disinterested in their job and didn’t care to help customers with anything (like providing tourists with information about restaurants, ATMs, or directions).
This hotel completely did not respond to Expedia messages, and I had to call them long-distance to arrange my airport transfer, which cost more than double what an Uber did. Check-in took 30 minutes, which is unacceptable, and the insistence that the bill be paid in cash when they had a card-reader stunk of inappropriate behavior.
The location is safe, but was super loud at night due to proximity to night clubs. My ears were ringing. I would not recommend a stay here unless poor service and partying in the historic zone are priorities.

The hotel was charming and mostly comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. I arrived late the first night and was not able to stay in the room I had booked. I stayed in a much smaller room with no AC and no towel. I was able to pay about half price for that first night. I was not able to pay with a credit card. It was fairly easy to get cash to pay. The free breakfast was basic but OK.

Super-cute little hotel in a great location. Kevin checked us in and was so friendly. The women serving breakfast were also very sweet. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Staff was very nice and helpful but when I showed up the room I supposedly had paid for four nights was not available they overbooked or something. Already had tons of trouble at airport so the last thing I needed was trouble at the hotel. Any hotel that can’t keep someone’s room, that they paid for, available, I would avoid like the plague.

My friend and I were pleased with the accommodations. We had an updated bath and a private balcony which was great given the unexpected curfew in Santo Domingo. The location is great where the city center is a 3 minute walk away with lots of restaurants, rich history and memories to make.

This is an older remodeled residence , the place is small but very nice, clean , no elevators , rooms are small but well equipped, bathroom nice and beds comfortable. Everything smells good and is clean. Rooftop lounge area makes it nice for evenings relaxation. Staff is great and friendly, breakfast was very good and plenty. The surrounding area is great , a block from the cathedral and plenty of shopping and dining. This is thebold colonial city so nice architecture from the colonial period. Parking is a nightmare so uber is best. Great value and rate.

Check in went fast. Room was as expected : very small and simple. The place is a vintage place and it is very well located. There is wifi, hot water, breakfast is included. It’s a very decent boutique/hotel, compared to the price.

Always a great stay at Casa Naemie. The staff is very friendly and helpful, The breakfast is great and made to order. Can't beat the location--central to El Conde and other restaurants and historical sites In a very historical, but well maintained building, with good features, including the bathroom

A really nice, small hotel in the centre of Zona Colonial. No luxury, cheap and cosy.

The hotel is a gem in the Colonial Zone. The included breakfast was filling and delicious, and the rooms are incredibly comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean and spacious. The staff were incredibly accommodating with a late night checkin and while there was a mixup with the room it was resolved timely. However, with how upscale the hotel feels, I was disappointed that there were no refrigerators in the rooms, nor was bottled water available. There was a water dispenser in the lobby with cups, but a refrigerator would have gone a long way to increasing the comfort of the room.

Kevin at the reception was very nice and a great host. he organized everything and also our taxi to the bus stop from where we left to Terrenas.
We stayed in room 10, small but with a nice terrace, and we changed to room 04 which was much bigger and very nice. Both had aircon and a new bathroom.
breakfast was very basic but really OK: bread.fruits.eggs.cafe
