Newer unit in a tropical location with great water views close to Key West. Two buildings are a part of the KOA Resort on Sugarloaf Key. Pool oasis with bar, cafe and store. Several veggie options too when we visited. Better facilities than many KOAs. Freindly and attentive staff easily spotted in yellow shirts!

Very surprised at this property. It had everything you needed. Nice people who run the property. It had a nice pool, boating facilities, bar with live music and a nice beach area. Loved my stay there

Awesome resort that can accommodate pets! We don’t normally travel with our pets and I was concerned about cleanliness staying in a pet friendly room but this place was so incredibly clean, nice and modern. Our only issue during our stay was that they are still waiting on permits to hook up all the EV chargers and there were only two available. Unfortunately the two that were available are also in normal parking spots and the spots were taken. Otherwise everything was awesome and we can’t wait to go back!

Stayed 3 nights over Labor Day weekend in the hotel while our friends used campsites. Hotel was awesome!! Overall property was awesome, live music at the pool at night, marina staff was more than helpful and remembered our names throughout our visit. Boat ramp and docks worked out great!

We went for a week to go lobstering. We went with friends, and they trailered their camping trailer down and we pulled their boat. The Sugarloaf KOA was perfect for this trip. Our friends camped in the trailer, and we stayed in the hotel. We were close to each other and got to stay the way we enjoyed. The grounds/hotel were amazing! Clean, well kept, friendly and helpful staff. We docked the boat at the marina and the dockmasters were very helpful along with a great marina store. The campground provided a place onsite to keep the boat trailer. The general store was fully stocked, centrally located near the pool with a great cafe and bar. Restrooms were spotless! We brought our 100lb dog and the Dog park was a wonderful place for him to run around in. There were also several dog areas around the campsite. The beach was very nice with plenty of things for children to keep them busy. Bike, SUP and motor carts were available if you were in need of them. I highly recommend this resort and will definitely be returning! GREAT PLACE!

We loved this hotel so much it is our new favorite place in the Keys. The property was beautiful, quiet, well kept, a good price and had lots to offer. Lisa checked us in and was super friendly. The staff in the marina were nice and the girls in the store. The only complaint is the pool was hot and not refreshing. If there is a heater maybe it should be turned off in the summer.

I loved this appart hotel. It's quiet, in nature, the staff is kind and helpful. Our apartment was comfortable and clean. The swimming pool is beautiful with a jacuzzi. For aperitifs he offers cocktails.

We stayed in the hotel. It was very nice, new, and very clean! It had a full kitchen, minus stove. It had a cook top. Full fridge with ice maker. We ran out of bottled water so i used the faucet and couldn't believe how great the water tasted! The pool area and hot tub was very nice! We took our the grand daughters and had a wonderful time! The RV spots were very nice too! We really enjoyed our week there!

The staff was super friendly and accomodating. Room was comfortable and extremely clean. The Marina was great for docking the boat overnight (reserved ahead). Easy ocean acess. The grounds were well kept & we had nice oceana views. The cafe served an array of meal options and drinks. Pool was a bit too hot for my liking but we barely used it anyways. Doggie park was a plus. There a lot of activities on site, like kyaking, bike rentals and even go carts!

My family and I had a wonderful and refreshing one-week vacation at this property. The apartment we stayed at was very clean, the amenities in the apartment were excellent, we were able to cook our food, wash our clothes and towels all in the apartment which is great. The property is pet friendly so we could walk our dogs around with us pretty much everywhere, of course except public areas like the pool, etc. We travelled with friends so we brought boat and jet skis that stayed docked in the property and had very easy access in and out to go explore and enjoy the sea. Friendly staff, overall very happy and had a wonderful time, and would definitely come back to this property if I come to the area again. 10/10 Recommend!

We had a great time at the hotel on the KOA campground. Best of both worlds! The apartment was new, with a balcony overlooking the Marina, and big enough to comfortably accommodate our family of 5. It had all the amenities you could think of, even a washer and dryer! Appreciated that laundry detergent was provided as well as dishwashing liquid. The pool and bar area was great and the marina shop rents kayaks, paddle boards etc. We definitely want to come back.
