Friendly helpful staff, comfortable villa with all the amenities one requires Two pools one large and a small one for tiny tots. Lifeguard on site. Safe plenty of sun beds and sunshades. Our terrace was spacious with a table for dining outside as well as one inside. 4 sun beds with cushions plus sunshades. Great views non-stop sunshine, sea bathing if you are so inclined. Good local buses if you do not want to hire a car and good taxi services. Good local shops and supermarkets both “local” and a Lidl within a short walk if you want to do self catering, as well as a shop, bar and restaurant on site, plus lots of local restaurants

We have been to Las Rosas on a number of occasions and always find it very welcoming & staff go out of their way to make our stay comfortable. It is a lovely resort with outstanding views of Los Gigantes.

We have stayed at Las Rosas on a number of occasions and it has always been excellent, the views are amazing. The properties are well cared for and cleanliness is excellent. Our only downside this time was the terrace bar which is in new hands. We only ate there once and food was not that good and well overpriced compared to other restaurants in area,we also found that drinks were well overpriced even though they have a happy hour it was still much more expensive than the resort along the road (El Marques).

Great location and customer service. Amazing views of the ocean and mountains. Finding a parking spot can be tricky on peak season since its public parking.

While the resort is nice, we had major issues with our booking. It is primarily a timeshare resort and customers paying for accommodation seem to be their lowest priority. If you are paying it seems you will be the first to be kicked out.
When we arrived to check-in (at 7.30pm on a Saturday evening) we were told there was a problem with our accommodation and we had to be moved to different accommodation. This was nearby at El Marques resort. However the accommodation was of a lower standard that at Ona Las Rosas. After three days of repeatedly asking the Head Receptionist to sort the situation out we were finally moved back to Las Rosas.
They promised to follow-up on my request for a partial refund due to the lower standard of accommodation provided for 3 of our 7 nights, but this has not happened (despite several follow-up emails).
So if you book Las Rosas as a paying customer, prepare to be disappointed. My main issues are:
1) Las Rosas knew there was an issue in advance of our arrival but made no attempt to inform us or Hotels.com (despite us checking-in online several days ahead, as requested)
2) The alternative accommodation offered was lower quality, had not been cleaned properly and was a lower price (as checked on the Ona website), but they did not offer any sort of partial refund of the difference
3) The Reception team promised to follow-up but have simply ignored all emails
If you want a stress-free holiday, book alternative accommodation!

Very nice location and friendly and helpful staff. The only negative thing was that there aren’t any really nice restaurants in the vincinity.

Fantastic views of the cliffs and ocean. Two bedroom apartment has lots of stairs. Nice staff. Clean. Front desk hours are different than stated on hotels.com. After requesting a late check in- there is a key waiting for us.

Perfectly situates in a quiet location with great views, but easy walking distance from all amenities. The accommodation was clean, roomy, comfortable and well equipped.

Met our requirements re cleanliness and sunny aspect late afternoon as requested.
ALL staff smiling friendly and genuingly (well, apparently) happily obliging to the needs of the guests.
Happily go again as location and apartment suits us.
Just could do with better Wifi, speedier and maybe in apartments too rather than in reception area only.

*Note that the photos shown in this VRBO listing are not necessarily the villa you will be booked into. This listing represents a number of villas that you can potentially get, so by booking, you're making a reservation at the resort, not booking the specific villa shown in this listing... which led to a little bit of a disappointment when we were assigned Villa 98, which still had great views of the giant cliffs, but was facing east, with not much of a water nor sunset view.
Our 1 week stay here was really nice and relaxing. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the service was great. We spent most of the time lounging by the pool or on the grassy sun terrace. The heated pool was a perfect temp, easy to submerge into without temperature shock, but also good for cooling off in the hot sun. We enjoyed the bar /terrace area and the outdoor billiard tables, but you don't get a full sunset view, most of the water views are blocked by the second stories of the surrounding villas, so if the terrace was just a bit higher to see over those roofs, you'd have better views.
The resort is well maintained and very clean. The inside of the villa, while feeling a bit dated, was in good condition with comfortable beds. The extra glazing on the windows and terrace doors do a great job keeping it extra quiet inside for a great night's sleep. The clientele at the resort appear to be a mix of about 70% British retirees who might be full time / timeshare owners there, and 30% younger couples and families on holiday.
Bad WiFi:
There is free WiFi by the bar / pool area, but it's extremely slow and unreliable. Speeds are around 200kbps which is barely enough for email. And half the time while you can connect to the wifi itself, it would have no internet connection. The villas have WiFi extenders inside them which you can rent for 20 euros per week, but the resort guide book itself said that it wasn't guaranteed you'd get a connection, and I assume you'd just be connecting to the same useless bar / pool wifi. We expected to be "unplugged" while there, however the reality of our connected lives soon hit with several work emergencies cropping up, and not being able to get our nightly Netflix fix. We quickly used up our mobile phone data as wifi hotspots and ended up buying extra data to get us through the week. We also went to Deli on the Hill down the street, a nice cafe with free highspeed wifi and great ocean views.

I advise anyone visiting Los Gigantes to review your plans. This hotel is in a resort that is subject to a major building project which involves earth moving and rock breaking machinery on the hillside at the top of the resort. As such the noise starts 0900 - 1000 hrs and goes on close to 1800 hrs. It is unbearable.
I feel that someone should be held accountable and should be duty bound to notify potential customers of this disruption. We are familiar with and love this location but would not have booked this hotel or anywhere near it had we known.
Have spent good money on getting here and paying for this hotel the hoilday is close to ruin. We have had 4 full days of complete disturbance. The management should be accountable to booking companies, but all booking companies including hotels.com should also have a duty to ask the hotel of any issues such as noise disturbance etc. We feel completely let down and conned. Avoid Los Gigantes until this project is finished!
