My parents, husband, and I spent two glorious days at this hotel and we are eager to return. This is a Spa and wellness hotel and not a tourist hotel, which is why we chose it. I speak some German, but my parents and husband speak only English. We were happy to find that the hotel provided English translations for the restaurant menus, Spa offerings, and information about the rooms and surrounding area. And all the staff spoke perfect English. Petra, from reception, went out of her way to make our stay special. She gave us an excellent tour of the hotel and our rooms upon our arrival, helped us with our bags, and informed us of some wonderful hikes right outside of the hotel. The hotel is equipped with lovely common areas like fitness areas, a relaxing library, roof top with amazing views, in-door/out-door pools, and a spa with everything you could imagine. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the pools and the massages we received during our stay. We were delighted with the included meals. Breakfast had everything we could want including an omelet bar, lunch included soups and salads, and dinner was a delicious multi-course meal. We loved every bite! We stayed in the Loser rooms with comfortable beds and beautiful views. The rooms were spotless and offered every convenience including robes and slippers. The hotel doesn’t offer Air Conditioning because it’s never very hot in the Alps so we enjoyed sleeping with the windows open. We look forward to visiting again!

It was a bit tough being an English speaking guest. While the staff was friendly little was explained to us when we arrived and felt a bit out to sea. It was especially difficult because most of what the spa offered was only in German as well as daily activities. I understand this is a German speaking country but I imagine they do get English speaking guests as the survey they left for is to fill out at the end of our stay was, funny enough, in English. All that aside, the spa areas are nice but lack in atmosphere. The food while supposed to be "healthy" was over salted and not to many options for those on restricted diets. Rooms were adequate but the beds were not comfortable. You do get free Wifi however the signal was so week from our room we could only use it from the lobby. All that to be said the area is absolutely beautiful and it is a great jumping off point to other lake towns and hiking.

This hotel is excellent across the board in cleanliness, comfort, service, and food. A relaxing, cozy and comfortable place. If you're not driving, be sure to make arrangements for transportation to and from the train station though. Hospitality and helpfulness of the reception seem to vary from person to person, depending on who you speak to, at least for non-German speaker like me.

We booked this hotel by chance from the website, not knowing the area. This place was so fabulous that we are trying to book again for next year. When we booked we thought the price was a little high but after we were there we realized that the price included breakfast (including hot food), an afternoon snack, and a full gourmet dinner. They had a car available for guests to use at no cost and rental bikes on site to visit the surrounding area. The facility was absolutely fabulous and the views breathtaking from every window. The room was large, modern, very clean and wonderful. There was a nice big shower and a bathtub with a view of the mountatins. And the balcony!!! We must have taken 100 pictures of the view from our balcony.
All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The pools were beautiful. I can only say that the pictures on the website do not do this place justice. Every place we visited after this paled in comparison and we wished we had never left. We are planning to go back for our vacation in 2010.
