Terrible experience. Check-in was a total mess for 7 people and 4 rooms. 86 year old placed on a third floor of a building without an elevator. Had to argue to make them correct it. Actually none of the buildings in this Resort are accessible. None of them have elevators although this place was build in 2008 (no excuses that it’s an old property). Distances between rooms, restaurants, pools and lobby are huge, paved with irregular pavers. Wheelchairs are impossible to use due to the irregular surfaces. Internal golf cart system to transport elderly people is offered but waiting times were so long that we gave up using it. Signage providing directions throughout the property are almost non-existent. Impossible to know where you have to go to get to your building. Dozens of people lost throughout the property every day, begging for directions, totally frustrated. Majority of the staff doesn’t seem to be happy, although very few exceptions were very attentive and supportive.
App that is highly recommend by the staff upon check-in is useless. Scheduling of Resort activities is never updated and internal map directions are also outdated. I learned that it doesn’t work because Spain is responsible for keeping it updated, so any local changes to activities have to be informed to Spain by email before they can update the App. Note: Spain is 5 hours ahead in time zone. Total non-sense.
Pools were really good and food and drinks abundant and of good quality. I’ll never go back.

Had a fantastic 4 nights here. Everything first class , service impeccable and so friendly but this is Bahia is the norm. Got and early 10 am checkin and upgrade room w/ double balcony very nice thanks hotels.com. BUT they did not inform us that there is a loud music & voice side and a quiet side. We got the party side and as we’re in our 70’s you’d think it would have been important to mention. Was loud from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm so an afternoon nap was impossible. Buffet choices in English would be nice as Grand Palladium did. So if get room you like this is a superior resort. Food at Bahia & Gormet restaurants truly excellent. Just wish we could’ve seen the smiling faces of staff but masks won’t be forever. Bravo to the people of Brasil as mask up was universal and taken seriously unlike the nonsense here in the USA. And no tipping adds to value unlike what we saw in Mexico. Just hope staff is given a living wage.

The hotel is fantastic ! The food, oh my Gosh ! The food is so good and so fresh, the staff is attentive and kind. We played tennis every day, some courts needs attention ( net was broken and bathroom was dirty). the special restaurants were awesome, we bought 2 bottles of wine with reasonable prices, again , the food and care is amazing. The shows at night were cool too. We watched boogie night, Michael Jackson and Bahia. The spa is very good, they probably need more spa attendants, but the massage was fantastic ! The pool area and activities were great. We had friends staying at Bahia , and we were able to visit several restaurants in both properties. I will definitely return to this hotel. I love I was treated and now I'll try to use Iberostar in Mexico and the Caribbean as well. Kudos to all staff members that made our vacation memorable. Thank you so much !!!!!

The hotel is huge, with several pools and entertainment options of the kids. The service staff is amazing and everything works. If you want to have good time with your family and kids, this is the place to be. However, the hotel is showing some signs that may require renovation soon.

Amazing hotel and an unbelievable level of good service. Very good food and range of drinks. The prestige part was well worth the upgrade fee.

This property is very run down. The rooms smell very musty and moldy. The bathrooms are a disgrace. Perhaps 20 years ago, this property was nice, but now it is severely in need of refurbishment. There is no way this is 4/5 stars. I would rate it a 2/5, and I feel like I am being generous.
On a positive note, the meals were pretty decent.

This was my 4th or 5th time staying at this hotel. The grounds are beautiful, the hotel is very clean and the service was very good. There is a wide choice of restaurants in addition to the main buffet and several bars around the resort. English is not widely spoken other than at the main reception desk, however I did not have any problems getting anything I ordered. I recommend this hotel if you are looking for an all inclusive break away from the main city of Salvador.

Poor attention to details: room for 2 adults and 1 infant and only one glass and one cup are provided. Poor choice of toiletries, in fact, no hair conditioner was provided, had to request separately.
Poor choice of sea food: staying by the ocean we expected to have a wide range of sea food, at least shrimps should have been a daily option.
On a positive note, very child-friendly place, lovely surroundings and lots of great facilities to use

Lovely spot by the beach but the hotel is a sprawling concrete monstrosity.
It’s also a 20 min taxi from the town of Praia Do Forte which is where all the restaurants, shops, turtle sanctuary, castle etc is located.
We also had a bad experience with trying to cancel the reservation, within 24 hours of booking it, as soon as we found out it was out of town. Expedia told us that there would be a 2 night cancellation policy despite the location of the hotel being wrongly advertised. They also then failed to adequately tell us that if we checked in without amending the reservation we would have to pay for the full length of stay. All in all a really poor and frustrating communication between ourselves Expedia and Iberostar. Both companies refused to accept responsibility and were blaming the other company, back and forth.....
We ended up leaving early to stay somewhere much nicer but having to pay the full fee for the all
Inclusive Iberostar.
I won’t be using either companies again if I can help it ...

It's a very big hotel , because of it some small things are not perfect . The beach in front of the hotel is not soo good because of the sea that is too much strong there . The location is around 5 km from the village you must walk an hour or pay US$ 40 for a taxi .
The food are quite perfect , only the beer is a little bit hot ( they must improve it ) .
The rooms are good , but its important to choose well , there are many at bad places , we take the 7061 and 7249 the second was better.

We have liked everything in our stay (swimming pools, rooms, beach, etc) except the food that was just ok. Considering that is a 5 star resort, should be much better.
