What a perfect place to stay for a visit to Sorrento! The host, Luka, was fantastic! Very easy to communicate with and helped book shuttles and excursions during our stay.
The property itself is in a fantastic location. It overlooks the main square in the touristy area of the city, but is far enough away (100m) that it is quiet and away from the hustle. It's a 5 min walk to the train station and has a cafe just around the corner for your morning coffee and pastry which was open at 6am making it convenient!
Room was great and had everything we needed, and the property itself is fantastic! It has a huge private garden area, pool, and is perched on a cliff with great views of the square.
All in all a fantastic visit, we'd definitely stay again!

We stayed at this property at the beginning of June for five nights. After having travelled through Italy for almost two weeks, we were in need of relaxation and Relais La Rupe was the perfect place to do so. The gardens and pool are beautiful and well kept. It was so quiet, it felt like we had the whole property to ourselves. It was about a five-minute walk to the town centre, but we never heard a thing, apart from the honking of cars, which you can't escape in Italy. The location was great. Our host, Luca, was amazing. He booked a couple of tours for us, recommended restaurants to visit, as well as telling us some of the history of Sorrento. If I could give our stay more than five stars, I would.

Beautiful area very close to the main piazza, but still quiet and not too crowded. Luca was very welcoming and helpful. Private garden and pool were amazing. We can't wait to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay at La Rupe. The grounds and view are beautiful, and the pool was a great spot to relax after a day of exploring the center town, which is just 2 blocks away. The room was spacious and clean. Luca was an incredible host, super friendly and gave us great recommendations for restaurants. He even helped arrange a taxi for us to get back to the airport for a very early morning trip. Would definitely stay again!

A beautiful building in a quiet part of town, with just a small walk (5 mins) to the Town square. Luca and his team looked after us from the moment we arrived, to the time we had to leave.

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Relais la Rupe. Luca is a fantastic host who goes above and beyond for all guests. The facilities and location are perfect - just a very short walk to the main square where you can spend the day exploring then return to the beautiful garden and refreshing pool at the hotel. Luca and Salvatore were also very helpful in giving us recommendations of places to see and eat in both Sorrento and Positano which we were visiting later in our trip. Thank you again to Luca for a great stay! Highly recommended - I would not stay anywhere else in Sorrento.

We stayed in this beautiful old (around 400 y/o) villa during our stay in the Amalfi Coast and absolutely loved it. The site looks over the ancient valley of the mills and the villa is beautiful. The private garden overlooking the valley was stunning- a fountain, wisteria on an arbor, flowers, benches and places to just sit and contemplate the beauty of the Amalfi Coast. If you come when it's warmer, there's a pool & Luca will sometimes make pizza in the big oven near the pool. We had a very large room with a comfortable bed. The location is perfect- very close to the train station and to the main street in Sorrento. We had trouble with our GPS finding the villa, but we called Luca, our handsome and charming Italian host, who came looking for us on his scooter! My husband appreciated that Luca always responded to his emails. Other places haven't so that was great. He was an amazing host, greeting us every morning for breakfast with delicious cappucino, fresh fruit, cornetti, etc. Luca also advised us on what to do in the Amalfi Coast and arranged for a tour of the main towns of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello, which of course were all so beautiful. He arranged for our day trip to Pompeii also. Pompeii is a must see! Take the guided tour. Luca's business card says that you arrive as a guest and leave as a friend. No English channels on the tv was my husband's only complaint. Maybe we just couldn't locate them. We highly recommend Relais La Rupe and would absolutely visit again!!

Luca and Salvatore were great hosts. The service was so personalized and they cater to your every question and need. We loved the garden area and it was really close to the city center...very easy to get around. The only con was that we could sometimes hear noises at night from an adjoining room or the room above. But it didn’t detract from the overall wonderful experience.

Luca is such an excellent host! This is really more of a bed & breakfast than a hotel with such a small number of rooms and such personal service. The view of the ruins off the patio below is stunning! Great location in beautiful Sorrento.

This hotel is beautifully situated. It has a tranquil feeling yet close to the main hub of Sorrento. The staff are welcoming, friendly and extensively helpful. Happy to share information and suggestions, willing to answer any questions. The breakfast service is refreshing with brilliant hot drinks and plenty of fresh fruit. The bedroom was cool comfortable and peaceful. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Sorrento.

We stayed 4 nights in this beautiful historic Hotel, 2 minutes from the heart of Sorrento, 5 minutes from train station in a quiet location. There is a lovely pool and several seating areas within the gardens. The rooms are comfortable and stylish.
We felt at home: warm welcome from Luca, his family and the "Pluto", the dog; Luca provided lots of information, e.g. booking and recommending tours and sightseeing, referred great local restaurants, making our stay perfect and very relaxing.
The breakfast is perfect and extensive with local fruits, yogurt, delicious bread rolls, toast, cheese or conserves, cake - topped off with the best coffee.
I highly recommend this place.
