About this bed and breakfast
- ACCOMMODATION:
A private room, quiet for a peaceful stay. Tranquility and sleep are what we experience every day and want to share them with travelers.
Your 17 m² room, in 13th century style, is furnished in the period and decorated with eleven authentic "old Master paintings" from the 17th to the 19th century. One of the paintings is a faithful reproduction (made in the 19th century) of Marie-Antoinette with a rose (18th century) painted by Elysabeth Vigée Lebrun, the original of which is at the Petit Trianon.
- An adjoining bathroom and separate WC next door are part of the rental. The whole is located on the 1st floor, accessible by a staircase, of our house from 1905. The bedroom window overlooks the quiet, wooded garden.
ARRIVALS ARE between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (otherwise contact us beforehand, if we can help!)
-EQUIPMENT
of the bedroom: 160x200 bed, a chest of drawers and two stylish bedside tables, a rack for clothes and bags, two armchairs including one "to fall asleep to" (from Maurice Chevalier's bedroom) and two chairs, A table for working , or for a snack.
An extra mattress for children (approximately under 12 years old) completes the equipment.
On the table: a thermos, a kettle, tea bags, soups, coffee and chocolate, two cups, two bowls and two spoons.
Breakfast is taken in the veranda or in the garden.
-BEDDING, cotton and organic:
mattress cover, top sheet, duvet cover, pillowcase everything is made of cotton. Summer duvets are made of feather and down. For the pillows, two with goose feather and down fillings, two (the “Dodo”) with shape memory.
Just in case: we add two hypollaergenic synthetic filling duvets.
-THE BATHROOM is equipped with three types of towels: 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 2 "wash cloths". -
- BREAKFAST: Our guests are invited to share our continental breakfast (there is rice soup for our Asian friends), in our Napoleon III style VERANDA which overlooks the garden. With a tray, they can also have breakfast in the garden in different places in the sun or in the shade.
The veranda is a space for rest and also for meals. equipped with coffee machine, toaster, microwave, kettle and a large table.
If our guests can also buy a snack outside and reheat it for a lunch or meal on site.
The veranda and garden are open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
-The GARDEN of 300m2, with dense vegetation, large trees (see photos): Linden trees, Robinia, Bamboo (numerous), Acer, Himalayan cedars, Plum tree, 4-season Mimosa, Eucalyptus, Mulberries etc.
This rental is aimed at people, in couples (with or without children up to approximately 12 years old), or alone, who aim to enjoy the calm, a relaxing atmosphere, while fully enjoying the life of Versailles ( castles, Trianon, gardens and park, restaurants, the famous market, various visits, Saint-Louis cathedral, tennis court etc.).
The smartest can use Versailles as a base for the night while also enjoying Paris (necessarily noisy) during the day. And thus enjoy the full nights,

We live in the house. So there will always be someone there to welcome you. We are regulars of Airbnb, Booking, Abritel etc.
Tchin is a qualified guide-lecturer at the Palace of Versailles for all museums and national monuments. She speaks four languages: French, English, Chinese and German. She is a specialist in the Palace of Versailles and gardens.
Fabien, in professional activity (marketing and internet services), works mainly online. He speaks French and English.

-THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
The neighborhood is away from noise pollution. It is located 25-30 minutes on foot from the Château gate via the main Avenue desUnis which then becomes Avenue de Saint-Cloud up to the Château. Each side of the avenue is lined with a double row of trees several hundred years old, providing shade all along the way.
A 3-minute walk away is a fast restaurant O’Campus at 31 rue Victor Bart (good value for money, nice and inexpensive).
A 6' walk from numerous shops, restaurants and various services are 600 m away, rue de Montreuil.
20' walk from the famous Versailles market, Place du Marché Notre-Dame, 1,400 m away. In addition, don't miss the many restaurants around the market.
- Very easy ACCESS to PARIS from three stations:
Indeed, from Versailles Three stations will take you to different places in Paris:
•Paris Saint-Lazare (Madeleine district, Opera, rue Saint-Honoré etc.) via the Rive Droite SNCF station Line L: 15 minutes walk from your room. Versailles being the terminus, you will always travel seated, in new, air-conditioned trains.
•Paris museums and monuments along the Seine. via Versailles Château Rives Gauche station RER C line (museum, monuments and Eiffel Tower lines, etc.): 25-30 minutes on foot.
•Paris Gare Montparnasse (Saint Germain and Saint Michel districts), via Chantiers station: 18-20 minutes on foot.
Near us, 5 minutes walk from the forest, is the famous Haras de Jardy, horse riding center, 15 minutes walk away.
