The start was not very good as we called the office and the lady who answered the phone faulted us for being at the property, precisely at check-in time without calling first. Actually, we tried communicating with the property in advance and never received a reply. Bianca came to our rescue. This really nice young lady was actually driving home and turned around to help us gain entry. Bianca understands hospitality. She was informative, knowledgeable, gracious, funny and a real take-charge person. Bianca is basically a chamber of commerce for the Cape Town area. Thank you, Bianca. The apartment was a tad bit dated but offered great views and a nice balcony. Importantly, the apartment was secure and if you are considering visiting South Africa security should be first on your list. Let me repeat this: if you visit South Africa, make certain that you book accommodations that offer round-the-clock security. I have said it twice, so take the thinly veiled hint. The kitchen was well-stocked, the bathroom was nice, and the internet worked well. You will experience “load sharing” or scheduled blackout and they happen frequently, as in twice daily, for upwards of three hours. Parking was insufficient as the apartment does not provide designated parking and you are limited to one of four visitor spots. Bring portable chargers, bring a mobile Wi-Fi, bring several flashlights and rent a car.
