About this villa rental
Welcome to Lemon Garden Villa!
In the old town of Rethymno, a place where the presence of old conquerors is all around.
Relax in our beautiful lemon garden and get yourself transferred in the past.
Accommodation at Lemon Garden Villa is all on one floor, and one of the three bedrooms is also accessed from the perimetrical yard.
The main outside entrance leads, through a flourished corridor, to the garden and the perimetrical yard.
Just a few steps on your right, the doorstep leads into the spacious inside area. In front of you is the fully equipped kitchen with an island that sits six and if you turn your sight to the left is the luminous living area that also leads, through two glass doors, towards the lemon tree garden and the continuing back yard. The pillow designed couch tenders relaxation in front of the 58 inches smart TV, surrounded by the outside green views.
On the other side of the living room sits a small en-suite desk corner for study and concentration.
Back in the entrance hallway and turning right, one enters the first bathroom followed by the first bedroom. It has a queen size bed, two windows and a door leading to an outside balcony on the main paved street.
On the opposite direction one enters the corridor behind the kitchen and living area which leads to the other two bedrooms. The second bedroom is on the right side, offers two single beds that can be joined to form a queen size bed and shares the balcony with the first bedroom. It has also a window with street view. The master bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, is next to it. This bedroom is also accessible from the terrace, which is dominated by the historic mosque dedicated to Valide Sultana, mother of a ruling sultan of the Ottoman Empire. The privileged Muslim elite used to pray in this mosque during the Ottomans conquer of Rethymno back in the 17th and till the late 19th century.
Finally, the 3rd bathroom sits at the end of the corridor.
All rooms open out either onto the garden and smooth, polished concrete terrace or onto the street balcony and each bedroom has its own outside furnished sitting area.
The wrap-around polished concrete terrace and the lemon tree garden, which has been left in a semi-natural state, with grass, wild flowers and fragrant herbs creates an idyllic scene. Adding to this are the drystone walls with the climbing flowers.
Most al fresco life is played out on the section of the garden outside and besides the living area. Here there is a lounge area with the graceful, cobalt spa mini pool, whose four infinity edges are raised just above the gardens. A built-in seating area attached to a barbecue and a sink is ideal for relaxing and sharing the day’s memories accompanied by a glass of local wine.
Please note that the “climate resilience tax” is not included in the property's rate. It has to be paid localy upon arrival in cash. The "climate resilience tax" is €15 per night from April to October and €4 per night from November to the end of March.
