Nice place with a family atmosphere

Very nice place with a with family atmosphere. Very good breakfast and nice and helpful staff. We arrived late, but this was not a problem and somebody was still at reception.

The only remark: the standard of the room according to the photos looked a bit better than in reality (family room). The entrance to the room was directly on the children's bed and it was difficult to go to the other part of the room. However we only stayed overnight during a long trip so in the end it wasn't a very big deal.

Lovely place in the countryside

Great place situated in the countryside. The whole area is peaceful and quiet. I had a very good night sleep. I stayed in the single room number 5. Really nice, clean and tidy room with a compact but lovely and well decorated bathroom. The breakfast was very good, with good selection of breads, the cheeses were lovely and the coffee from a proper coffee machine was absolutely spot on.

Nothing i can think of. Everything was good for me.

Nice, clean and comfortable hotel with excellent breakfast

Landhotel Freitag is a very nice place to stay right in the center of idyllic Sankt Paul im Lavanttal. Though it overlooks the main street, there's minimal traffic, the whole village is really tranquil. The hotel is very clean, nicely maintained, comfortable, well-equipped (wifi, bathroom amenities, tea and coffee in the corridors (the former is free, the latter for a nominal price) and I got a very friendly welcome. Breakfast is really great with many types of local/homemade products (cold cuts, cheeses, dips etc.). Though I usually don't like it when coffee comes from an automatic machine, it actually makes very decent coffee.

As it's an older structure, the door of my room didn't really keep any noise out, so any movement on the corridors could be heard loud and clear. But that's really the only thing I can criticize.

Great stay

We really liked to stay in this hotel as the breakfast was nice, staff was very helpful and rooms clean and beds comfortable.

Small pillows, but we could get extra pillows at the end. There are parking spaces in front of the hotel but it was very busy and we couldnt park next to the hotel unfortunately.

It’s always a pleasure to stay here! Great place for everyone who travelling long distances from north of Europe. It was our second visit and would like to say that the hotel and the Saint Paul am Lavantall are the places that you never forget. Highly recommend!

This guesthouse is the life of the town

We stayed at a very comfortable, clean and spacious room with a balcony and a view of the montains. The guesthouse is well located, a short walk away from shopping options, supermarket, pharmacy and eating options, though apparently the most sought-after eating option in town seems to be the guesthouse itself, where we dined with what felt like half the townsfolk. The staff during check-in didn't speak any English, but that didn't prevent us from communicating in a mix of broken German and general pleasantries. The next morning there was English-speaking staff available during breakfast, which was decked out with cold cuts made by the family who runs the guesthouse themselves.

The pillows were not great.
