About this house rental

This is a lovely & charming house from the end of the 18th century, with thick stone walls, high roofs and antique wooden floors. On the top,the property has a nice and comfortable outside patio, rare in Saint Martin downtown.
We especially paid attention to get importance to space and comfort ( 90 m2, for a 2 bed rooms property).

We realized a complete refurbishing in 2010.
All technical parts are new (kitchen, bathroom, paints, electricity, heating, beds, domestic appliances,...) and the rest is designed accordingly to the charming Ile de Ré style, mixing comfortable and antique furnitures.
The house is located inside the city walls in the historic part. Outside the noisy area, it’s still close to the harbor and the market.

Couldn't have been in a better spot, an easy walk down the hill to the harbour for restaurants and ice cream. Facilities as described, it's a nice small villa but it's the location that makes it perfect.

We spent a very nice time in this house. The location is extremely good and the environment is very pleasant. From shopping to a short shopping spree, everything is sorted within walking distance. There are also countless restaurants and cafes. We also think St Martin is the best place on the island. The house offers everything you need to spend a relaxing but not boring time.

Cette maison charmante et typique de l'Ile de Ré est idéalement placée à quelques minutes à pied du port de Saint-Martin dans une ruelle au calme. On profite donc de l'animation du port à toute heure et du calme de la maison. La terrasse est un plus. Cette maison typique offre un confort moderne. C'est notre deuxième séjour et nous ne manquerons pas d'y retourner

This is a nice, well-kept old house, quiet but near the harbour, restaurants and, for us importantly, the food market. It has a lovely courtyard if you want to have your meals outside. Everything was fine and as promised from booking to departure. By far the nicest place we have stayed in St Martin.

Lovely house

We very much enjoyed our second stay at the house. It is well equipped and has a lovely traditional elegance. We particularly like the seating area outside. It is in a very convenient position close to the shops and harbour but still nice and quiet. We look forward to visiting again.

Nous recommandons vivement cette jolie maison réthaise décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Cette location située à 2 minutes à pied du centre village et des commerces de proximité a permis à notre petite famille de déguster d'excellentes glaces et de déambuler au marché artisanal installé au port tous les soirs d'été. Les échanges avec les loueurs et l'agence ont été cordiaux. Adresse à garder !

Great house, in a perfect location in the heart of the village. Walking distance to all restaurants , bars , shops. The house is beautifully decorated with everything you need. The courtyard is secluded and great for early morning coffee and late night drinks.

This is our second visit to Juliette’s house, we have had a fantastic stay yet again. The house is in a fantastic location right in the centre of St Martin, within easy walking distance to many restaurants and the harbour. Juliette is super helpful and always on hand to answer any questions. Thank you for a great stay.

A lovely old house located very centrally close to the port in Saint Martin, Ile de Re. Sympathetically and stylishly refurbished and well equipped. The terrace particularly was loved by our children. We would love to stay again.

Comfortable property in great location

Stayed for one week in June and the property had everything you needed for a comfortable relaxing holiday. Good location central for visiting all the sights on the Ile de Re . Saint Martin is picture perfect with enough restaurants and shops for all your needs. The property was clean and well equipped with a nice rear patio for relaxing and taking the sun. Parked the car and felt little need to use it again, walking and cycling to most destinations. Good communication with the owners. Thoroughly recommend the property.

Another wonderful stay at Hugues and Juliette's wonderful townhouse in St Martin de Re. 2 weeks of sunshine were most welcome. The house could not be better. A perfect location, set up comfortably for a single family and in excellent condition. Even a nice new large double bed! This was our second stay in the house and we could not recommend it more!

"We really enjoyed our holiday here. The accommodation has been sympathetically modernised with the traditional Il de Re 'look'. The house and linen were clean and fresh and the kids had lots of fun dancing to the built in shower radio! The house is central but not too close to the late night party crowd. We would highly recommend this house and look forward to visiting it again in the future."

The house in an excellent location, Shops, restaurants, the food market, and the beach are close by. The house has a lovely very private courtyard garden in which we spent a lot of time.
