Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, this expansive 4 bedroom/3 bathroom house offers luxury living in a tranquil bushland setting. Beautifully appointed, the house comes with aircon throughout, 2 large living spaces, separate office, a large balcony with alfresco dining for 8 people and a fire pit. Backing on to the ‘Mermaid Pool’ watering hole and Manly Creek, it's only a short drive to Waringah Mall, supermarkets, eateries and Queenscliff Beach.
The Space:
Upon entering this light-filled home, you’re greeted by a sense of openness, elegance and comfort. Featuring beautiful blackbutt flooring and reverse-cycle aircon throughout, a spacious L-shaped kitchen/dining/living space offers a dining table for 10 people, a modular lounge suite, wall-mounted 76” smart TV with soundbar, fireplace and a rug for winter comfort. Floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors take you out to one of the house’s stand-out features, an expansive balcony with an outdoor table for 8 people and stairs going down to a fire pit area with a couple of chairs. The balcony overlooks the Manly Creek and Mermaid Pool, complete with waterfall, and there’s a dinghy and kayak available to guests who want to paddle on the water. Back inside the house, the fully-equipped kitchen comes with stone benchtops, a breakfast bar with 4 stools, and quality Smeg appliances including a 6-burner induction cooktop, 900 mm oven, dishwasher and microwave. Off the kitchen is a dedicated laundry room with an Electrolux front loader washing machine and wall-mounted dryer. There’s also a separate office space with a sofa that folds out to queen-sized bed if needed, an exercise bike, wall-mounted TV and more glass sliding doors to the balcony. The bathroom on this floor comes with a roomy shower recess.
A flight of carpeted stairs takes you up to the house’s 4 bedrooms, all with study desks, room darkening shades, ceiling fans and ducted aircon. The master bedroom is a huge and comes with a king size bed, large windows with views of Manly Creek, and a sizable ensuite bathroom with shower. The other 3 bedrooms on this floor have double beds and mirrored wardrobes. This floor is also home to a second lounge room, offering its own comfy modular lounge suite, wall-mounted 65” Sony smart TV with an X-Box. Sliding doors take you out to another balcony overlooking Manly Creek. The shared master bathroom on this floor bathroom on this floor features a floating egg bath, separate shower and a convenient laundry chute.
The house’s backward comes with a lawn area and safety trampoline for the young (or young-at heart).
The Neighborhood:
Situated 17 kilometres from Sydney’s CBD (Downtown), Manly Vale is leafy, relaxed suburb with an abundance of great eateries and beautiful Manly Dam for bushwalking and mountain biking. The house itself is in a wonderful location, backing on to the Manly Creek and the Mermaid Pool with its running waterfall – so named for the girls who used to go skinny-dipping there during the Great Depression. It’s only a 4 minute drive to a Coles supermarket and less than 10 minutes by car to Queenscliff Beach, with Curl Curl and Shelly beaches also nearby. Major shopping hub Warringah Mall is a 5 minute drive away.
Getting Around:
The house comes has a long driveway which fits several vehicles. Alternatively, buses service the area although the closest bus stop is a 20 minute walk away.
Other Things to Note:
* Due to strict noise policies in strata buildings and Australian council by-laws, guests must avoid making loud noise, particularly between the hours of 10 pm – 8 am. Please understand that guests who break this rule may be evicted and financial penalties may also apply, depending on the circumstances.
* An additional $40 will be charged to your total if a check-in happens after 8 pm, and we require your arrival time as the Concierge does not live on site.
* A mandatory full clean of the property and complete linen change will be done every 4 weeks and added to your total booking amount for any booking longer than a month. This will be added to your total amount and processed separately.
