We enjoyed a few lovely days at Macs Cove in this warm and comfortable house. The weather was uncorporative but the spacious living area with effective airconditioning kept the humity at bay! The three bedrooms suited our needs and the property is well appointed, all the things you need for a self catered getaway.Communication with Leith was clear and timely. All round a great experience

Reviewer Comments:
Magnificent little hide away, nested in a tiny village of Macs Cove, this family home is large enough for a 8-10 guest group. A single toilet is a compromise, but at least bathroom and toilet are separate. The home is not only a comfortable place to stay but also has character. The birds come to the balcony every morning and afternoon for a feed. The parrots even help new guests by rubbing beaks on the table and flapping their tongues about, as if trying to convey: feed me, you fool, take photos later!Eldon is not more than 1 minute walk away. If feeling lazy, one could even test their 4wd skills and drive down all the way to the water. There is a bit of shade by the lake for a few families to launch boats, BBQ on the water edge or have a swim.Jamieson pub is a short drive away. If you've never been to a true country pub -- definitely visit Jamieson Pub! Not because it's good, but to get a feel for the fast disappearing experience of getting yelled at by the bar staff, have your overpriced food poorly cooked and generally feel like you are pestering the bar staff by visiting their venue. There is a place in UK where you pay big bucks to be treated like this -- here you get the true experience for free. If going in without expectations it is guaranteed to be fun. Just enjoy and go with the flow.Jamieson Brewery on the other hand (not to be confused with Jamieson Pub) is splendid affair. Modern, with selection of craft beers on tap and a decent menu service, the Brewery is an oasis of modern aussie cuisine in the middle of bogan bushland. Book ahead to ensure you get a table. The home is great for winding down after hikes -- plenty about the area -- or, resting after a 4WD adventure, or even as a base for a deer hunting trip. With large enough group, the home offers a solid 4 star accommodation for the same money one would get a bed in a shed in local caravan parks or pubs. Will
