About this house rental
Eastbourne has been a popular holiday destination since Victorian times, with 5 miles of seafront, elegant buildings and hours of sunshine. This cosy property sleeps four guests and is ideally placed to enjoy the seaside resort’s attractions. The house is within 500 metres of the shingle beach, as well as shops, cafes and restaurants. For a salty sea air introduction, ride the Dotto – Eastbourne’s mini train – along the seafront, then stroll along the fine Victorian pier and enjoy a cream tea in the wonderful period tearooms. Hop on the open-top bus for panoramic views of chalk cliffs and the South Downs along the Sussex coastline, with hop-on/off stops at landmarks including Beachy Head. Stop by the colourful Towner Art Gallery and view fascinating old photographs in Eastbourne Heritage Centre. For family fun, visit the mini golf course at Princes Park and meet the animals at Sharnfold Farm (5 miles).
The interior of your holiday home is thoughtfully planned, with a clever use of colour and space. From the hallway, step inside the spacious lounge, where you’ll find comfortable sofas in front of the TV. Cushions, throws, a beautiful mirror and soft lighting make this a lovely, relaxing room. The bright kitchen/diner is the hub of the house, with full-width Bi-fold doors that open onto the courtyard garden and flood the room with light. A stylish colourful island with breakfast bar stools sits opposite the kitchen area, well stocked for all your culinary needs, while a wooden dresser adds a country note. A round table with chairs slots into the dining area, ideal for discussing tomorrow’s plans over supper. A sleek shower room completes the ground floor. Head upstairs to find two sumptuous bedrooms, also embellished with pretty lamps, throws and cushions. They comprise a king-size with ample storage space and a charming twin.
Outside, the enclosed courtyard garden has patio furniture, with storage for bikes in a shed. On-street parking, subject to availability.
