The location is perfect for going to beach! Great beach, not too crowded and view of Chicago is incredible.
Host responded immediately, only had to reach out once. reach

I have family in the area so we visited for the long 4th of July weekend. The place was perfect for what we needed. My wife and I dropped the kids off at their grandparents house and we spent time exploring the dunes while also visiting with family. The Pavillion in the Dunes National Park has a great rooftop bar/restaurant - perfect to see an amazing sunset with the Chicago skyline in the background!

Very cute. However, you need to provide better pots, pans and silverware. There's not a lot of restaurants around so people wanted to cook and didn't bring anything. They would be out of luck. And better seating arrangements in the living room.

This VRBO came equipped with everything we needed to sustain a holiday weekend. The only thing we had to do was buy groceries! The TVs were network ready; the beds were very comfortable, and the living space was approximate for our family! The greatest perk is waking up in the morning to beautiful Lake Michigan. And the fact we didn’t have to call the managers for anything during our stay. Thank you the stay was awesome!

The neighborhood, I feel was not safe. There were people loitering around area at all hours and even though the police patrolled the beach area during the day I never saw any police after dark. There were a lot of abandoned buildings around the area also. The property itself was not what I expected compared to pictures on the listing. The cottage and deck were in poor condition, chipping paint, front door with gap noted between door and frame, some lights not working, broken picture frames, towel racks, cracked tile by tub and yard with weeds everywhere. We left early because we did not feel safe staying any longer.

We had to drive to valpo nearly every day of our stay l to see a grandchild perform in concert We thought we would like a place near the lake but the drive proved to be too far. Our fault not the owners. Plus, the person who would use the lake couldn't because he hurt his back and the walk through sand was too much. Again, no reflection on the owner. Great spot for a family who actually enjoys the beach.

Went for weekend trip with a friend. The house could use some updates and front door didn’t feel very secure , gap where lock goes into jam and downstairs door didn’t have outdoor light to turn on. Was very easy check in and extremely quiet area. We liked the close walk to beach and close to very nice walking trail that was paved. The beach chairs were provided and very nice. Enjoyed seeing mother deer and her baby in yard everyday.

We stayed two nights. The property is close to the water. We were there during a heat wave and the poor air conditioner couldn’t really keep up, but they were nice enough to provide a large fan, which made it bearable. We enjoyed our time at the Dunes and all came home a little sun burned.

I really had so many hesitations reading the past reviews. I'm am so happy that I chose this place. The property owners are very, very accommodating and prompt. Any time I contacted her about anything, she answered and was right on it. I couldn't have enjoyed myself more.
My family came from Chicago and loved the property and are looking to also set up future stays.
It's clean and nice and a great locations. Steps from the beach.
Thank you so much😍😍

This property was better than the pictures show. A very easy walk to the beach and it was very quiet at night. We had three adults and three very active boys and there was plenty of room for all of us to play and hang out. The sunset each night was an added bonus. Our family is planning on this as an annual event, hopefully at the same property. It met or exceeded our needs and the location was wonderful. We found the guest book a helpful tool and even spent one of our days at the local wildlife center just down the road. Thank you again Tracey for your hospitality. This was the first time using any vacation rental and you made a great first experience. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

The location was fantastic.. hop skip & a jump from the beach. The house however needs some TLC & the pics do not show a fair depiction of the property. Neighbors were great & gave us the low down of the area.. which was helpful. The Miller Beach downtown had so great stops. The brewery & taco house was amazing & their was a cute shop. Overall had a good time

Overall, a very accommodating small house to stay in. Numerous this need to be fixed/updated. The front door has keyless entry but no deadbolt and does not feel secure.

The was a total scam. The pictures were outdated and the neighborhood was earful. It looked as though it was trying to be revitalized and then it went back down hill. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone not even my worst enemy. Was the worst rental that I have ever rented.

In an effort to have a small getaway from the city (Chicago), I initially booked the space for myself and realized shortly after I didn't want to be alone. The point of contact was extremely accommodating with last minute guests and responded quickly which was amazing! It was a short walk to the beach which is exactly what I wanted. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans and kitchen utensils. All 4 of us ended up having to work from the space and we didn't encounter any issues with the WiFi. They had towels and other items that could be used for the beach which was great. It was an amazing space for what I was looking for and would stay there again!

The house was great in terms of location. It was cozy and comfortable. However, when we arrived it felt a bit musty and it was not very clean. There were bugs in the bathroom in the main bedroom in the basement. I expected the house to be much cleaner given the COVID environment we are living in . Thankfully, we brought cleaning supplies with us to wiped everything down. Figuring out how the Roku worked was a bit challenging as someone who doesn’t have Roku at home. Would’ve been great to have instructions.

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The house was beyond expectations. everything you could need for a trip to the beach. It is a quant little house close to the beach, located in the city with a country feel. Chris went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. We will definitely be back.....
