Had a great week!
Welcome pack on arrival after long journey was amazing, the house was perfect ,views are stunning, we all loved the swim spa. Tony was a great host? Was there for arrival and departure.
Would definitely recommend this place.

Fantastic holiday, indoor spa pool was great with the kids. Views are 2nd to none, sat quietly in the evening listening to the water is relaxing. Location is central to all around and the train takes you everywhere you wouod eant to go. Only 5mins walk away. Highly recomended.

Best place I've stayed in the UK, with an unobstructed view of the sea and only a stone's throw from Dawlish. Would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing hols

Lovely sea views and short walk into Dawlish. Problems parking especially on a Saturday, which made off loading and loading up a challenge. The attic room only suitable for children, lots of toys which was a nice touch. Some cushions on the sofas (as shown in the pictures) would have been nice and the bbq isn’t usable. There was a bin bag of rubbish in one of the children’s pods which I put in the dustbin, luckily I saw it before our 3 year old granddaughter! They must have been lovely when they were first kitted out. Mattresses seemed very old but I think they may have replaced them now which is good. With a few extra touches that are shown in the pictures online this would be a lovely place to stay.

Great location and views. Decent accommodation for adults and children, the pool and hot tub were a great bonus!

Fantastic property to stay in with stunning sea views.
This property is just perfect for a break in Dawlish.
The property was very clean, nicely decorated and very well equipped with everything needed for a very comfortable stay, a real home from home!
Spy room and gym was a great bonus and the cosy children zone was a big hit !
Hosts Tony and Cheryl were most welcoming and helpful.
There was absolutely nothing to fault. We had a wonderful time and we hope to visit again in the future.

We were a party of 10 all ages, we loved the house and the views were spectacular the house suited our needs and everything was there and well thought out. We had a wonderful stay with lots of memories missing it already.

Overall we enjoyed our stay but there was a few things that took the edge off a perfect break. The shower in the en-suite bedroom leaked through the kitchen ceiling so we couldn’t use it which meant that nine of us had to use the one other shower! The French door/window in the lounge was difficult to open & close and the rain came in at the bottom right side and the carpet got wet and we couldn’t open the bi fold doors in the dining area. The cutlery wasn’t very clean so we had to wash it all before we used it. The hot tub was a great size and the children loved it but even though we spoke to the owner we couldn’t get all the jets working and we found some bits of broken goggles on the bottom. I felt that it just needed some TLC.

The property is in a marvellous position with direct views over the sea. Ten minute walk into Dawlish, 30 to Dawlish Warren. The children loved playing in the pods . We all loved the spa pool. The kitchen sink is small , as is the dishwasher. The cutlery drawer was broken so the cutlery lived on the microwave. Minor points that did not take away from the enjoyment of staying at Tudor Lodge.

Spent a wonderful week at Tudor Lodge in Dawlish.
The house is less than a 10 minute walk from the station with lots of local shops and coffee shops on the main high street.
Words can’t describe the views from the house…just incredible and breathtaking and by far one of the best parts of the house.
The house is warm and cosy ..particularly in a chilly December and includes all the facilities you need for a break away. (Dishwasher, washer, cooker etc).
Will look forward to coming back again next year!

Fully equipped, perfectly located property within easy walking distance to the pretty town of Dawlish.
Had much more to offer than we imagined! The heated indoor pool/spa was a bonus! Wasn't expecting anything of its size! Everyone able to get in with room to spare!
Comfy well presented bedrooms with plenty of storage. Full kitchen facilities. Large dining table so we could all sit and eat at the same time. Well presented lounge with flat screen TV with Sky. WiFi code as soon as you enter the door. Amazing ocean views from patio and bifold doors on to a decked area along with outdoor dining area if warm enough.
Property was spotlessly clean on arrival. Couldn't fault anything.
Our hosts, Cheryl and Tony should be proud of this property. Its wonderful!!!! Thank you!
Looking forward to returning again soon

I can’t express enough how thoroughly disappointed my family and I were at the standards and quality of Tudor Lodge. I’d read all the reviews. I wanted something that ticked all the boxes for my family, especially as there is a big gap in their ages and this was our first family holiday since 2019.
A seaview, gym, hot tub, spa pool, BBQ, lovely rooms, what’s not to like ?! It was very expensive but it was going to be worth it.
1) The kitchen was dirty. The floor, oven, bin ( broken ) have not been cleaned in a very long time. There were rotting onions ( virtually at liquid brown state ) in the main food storage cupboard. These had the supermarket date of April on them ( it was now end of July ).
2) The paintwork around the entire house needs refreshing. There are large cracks, peeling paint, holes in the walls in the dining room and living room. Large water marks above the living room patio doors. Drink spillages on many walls so they look grubby. The kitchen patio door is difficult to open and close due to the rubber seal coming off. There’s a plaster on the bedroom dimmer switch.
3) The gym wasn’t useable as much of the equipment was broken, dirty and not maintained. This was particularly annoying as I wanted my 18 year old son and my other half to be able to use this as they are keen gym fellas.
4) The hot tub is actually a tub with a hose. It takes about an hour to fill and will lose heat quickly.
5) The BBQ is bricks and a wire rack to hold a disposable bbq tray. This house can accommodate 10 people so you would spend ages trying to cook that way.
6) The grass and weeds haven’t been cut.
7) The metal railings around the garden are rusted and peeling. Of course having the sea and sun on them, this will happen. But it looks terrible.
9) Lots of junk dumped behind the 2 huts and clearly visible.
Of all these points, the only one I contacted Tony about was the gym. And he thanked me for bringing this to his attention as he hadn’t noticed the condition of the equipment and he would fix it when he was next there. Which would be after we’d left.
This holiday house was not value for money. It needs cleaning properly after every stay and things fixing to a higher standard. I know that we left that house much cleaner and tidier than when we found it.
I haven’t asked for a refund. The damage is done to our holiday. The photo’s on this site are from a long time ago and the house no longer looks as good as that. We won’t be back.

Stunning Sea Views
Tudor Cottage definitely trades on its location. As sea views go, it would be difficult to match.
However, I have holidayed in coastal properties that are better appointed, better equipped and have a significantly larger interior space for a lot less money.
The lack of some basics, such as a barbecue and comfortable outdoor seating, we’re a bit disappointing, given the price. We also had an issue with the chemical balance in the pool.
However, this didn’t stop us having a good time and the house is ideally situated to explore the surrounding area - especially by train.

Late booked stay
We booked this property less than 9 days before we wanted to go and experience and confidence from owners was great, as others have said parking can be a challenge but don’t let this deter you from the experience of the location and waking up seeing the sunrise and early morning ocean. Feel like king and queen as those walking the coast path look up as you have morning coffee in the best location. Thanks for our break.

Amazing House
Tudor Lodge is a wonderful property overlooking the sea. It is lovely to hear the waves and the trains and to sit on the terrace watching the sunrise. Views from all the rooms are breath-taking. The house was spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds and good showers. Wonderful hot tub. Tony was an excellent host with very good communication. A few minutes walk brings you into the centre of Dawlish - a lovely town with great Crazy Golf, a delicious Sunday lunch at The Brunswick Arms, ice cream and cream teas etc from Gay’s Creamery and waffles from The Local Scoop. Train rides to Paignton and Exmouth were a great hit with the children. Lovely walk to Dawlish Warren with a beautiful beach and caves on the way. Five adults and five children enjoyed a brilliant week at Tudor aLodge and we can’t wait to go back!

Hot tub and view makes it
This is a stunning location and being in the outdoor hot tub is so relaxing and using the gorgeous dining area with the bifold doors . The amenities of gym and kids play toys and outdoor toys need some upgrading and have a used feel to them but we made them work and I’m told new spin bikes arrive soon ! Dawlish is a quint seaside town but not much to do with children and we travelled to painton for zoo and Dartmouth for better restaurants but a great central point for discovering south Devon

Christmas break.
We were very impressed with the property and the check in process was very smooth. It's a great location to explore the coast and we would certainly consider going back again.

Devon retreat - good for family groups
Ideally situated right overlooking the sea, with railway between the two. Noise from railway and/or the Exeter road was minimal in fact. Warm throughout. Fabulous spa pool, and hot tub outside was very popular too. Distances to walk to get to Dawlish (interesting town) or access to coast path are very acceptable (only took 5-10 minutes, even with the pram). Minor faults - could do with few more saucepans and a mixing bowl if you're catering for 10, and some more towels,
especially if you're using the spa pool a lot - so take some extras! The adventurous can walk from Tudor Lodge to the end of the Dawlish Warren spit opposite Exemouth! We wanted somewhere comfortable to accommodate our family groups and were glad we chose Tudor Lodge. Meals around the large table were fun! We'd be happy to return and recommend the venue.

Great house, great location
Had a great holiday at Tudor Lodge. House was great and the spa pool is a real bonus.
Location by the see affords great views, and location is ideal for the town. Also being close to the station is very handy for trips out. We visited Teignmouth and Torquay, both easily accessible by train.
Would highly recommend Tudor Lodge!

Fabulous time away
Sad to say goodbye to Dawlish and the house ! Tony was a great connect and welcomed us in ! The house itself has so much to offer for a family with six children ranging 8-20 ! With a short walk into Dawlish village which is beautiful and friendly or along to Dawlish Warren beach the train station is close by so you can forget about driving too to visit , Paignton, Torquay and Teignmouth !
Sunny evenings having barbecues with the family and a glass of Prosecco in the hot tub looking out to sea ! It couldn’t have ticked all of the boxes anymore !
My only complaint is I’m not there for longer !

It was a relaxing stay and they were very helpful. Scones and wines are a bonus!
The location is near the lovely town centre, lovely property...and the sea view is very relaxing. Tony made sure we had everything we need to have a nice stay. We were greeted with wine and sweets which was a nice addition to our Christmas celebration and my hubby's bday.

What a fabulous holiday
After cancelling a holiday in Portugal we thought we would give Dawlish a go, and apart from the weather which was a little wet, I think we had a much better time than we would have with the original plan! Tony goes above and beyond to make you comfortable and ensure you have a wonderful time. There was prosecco on arrival, he was very responsive with any questions we had through the week and it has been the most wonderful holiday. The kids adored the pool and the trains at the bottom of the garden. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us and we all just had a really brilliant time. Great house, great facilities, great location and great host. We'll be back! Thank you Tony for rescuing our family holiday and making sure we had a lovely time.

Best Memories Ever
This holiday was by far my best ever. The house was absolutely breath taking. The views were amazing. Ive no words to describe how fantastic our holiday was. Tony and Cheryl really went out of their way to ensure my 50th Birthday was fabulous. They decorated the house with banners and put 50th decorations on the dining sets on the table. Not forgetting the lovely gesture of a bottle of Rose and Proseco. I would highly recommend this house to everyone. You are central to beautiful beaches, towns, pubs and restaurants. I cant wait to come back again xxx

Amazing views
We booked the house for a family Xmas with our family coming from several countries to be with the extended family. The house was everything we hoped for and enabled 4 generations of the family to get together. All loved to watch the changing sea conditions and the grand kids loved looking out for the trains. Easy walk into Dawlish and to the beach. We took the train into both Newton Abbot and Exeter. A great time was had by all.
