About this house rental
This luxury villa ticks all the boxes! Casa Dragao will comfortably sleep two families offering spacious and homely living accommodation. It is situated in a quiet cul de sac with the beach, bars, restaurants and shops all within walking distance. Air-conditioning is also available at an additional cost. The villa has been refurbished with good quality furnishings, together with quality bed linen and Egyptian cotton towels. The property is tiled throughout and the living rooms are bright and airy with a very well equipped modern kitchen.
The outside living space is stylish and secluded with a private pool 4m x 7m (which may be heated at an additional cost) and a bespoke shaded area and traditional barbeque.
There are three bath/shower rooms and two of the four bedrooms have balconies - to enjoy that first drink at sundown! The villa is very suitable for families with a basket of toys for small children, together with 2 travel cots, highchair and 2 stairgates, a baby bath and blender. For the adults, there are two fridges; one being a large larder fridge to keep your drinks cold!
Pool heating is available upon request at £150 per week.
Air conditioning is available upon request at £120 per week.
Cots, highchairs and stair gates are available upon request free of charge.
Carvoeiro is a fishing village halfway along the Algarve coast, about 45 minutes from Faro Airport. Over the last 15 years, it has grown to be a sizable holiday resort. Picture are valid, the house is very nice and a good fit for two families with teenagers, well equipped and with good standard. TV is outdated and small but for our holiday we did not really care but for longer stays can be an issue. Cleaning service arrived 1 day earlier than agreed.

This was one of the best villas we have stayed in since we started going to Carveiro 8 years ago.A beautiful villa close to the town with an amazing pool that my 2 grandchildren absolutely loved. The villa is well furnished and also very spacious inside as well. It is equipped to provide a very child friendly environment and if you have very young children,there are stair gates,travel cot,high chair and a stroller for use in the villa.We had excellent communication with our host,Patricia who also provided fantastic directions to get to the villa. A wonderful villa in a perfect location,and I would highly recommend it,especially for family groups. Thanks Patricia we had a super time

We visited as a family of 4 plus two grandparents for one week. The villa was clean and fully equipped. The owner and villa manager were easily contacted when needed. The TV took us a little while to get our heads around but once we did it was fine. We especially loved the pool and were lucky to have good weather. Check in and check out were super easy.
We also loved the area of Carvoeiro - it is a quiet village (quiet nightlife) but this is perfect for us. It may liven up as the season goes on! It is an easy walk down to the central area but a very steep hill back up to the villa. We often got a taxi back up the hill especially with elderly grandparents - it was easy enough to do this. I’d say a hire car is essential for visiting nearby beaches and other areas in the Algarve. We would def book the villa again and if not available (as can only do outside of school terms) would book in the Carvoeiro area again.

We had 5 adults stay here and we loved it, location was great only 10/15 min walk to local bars and restaurants. A very nice quiet area with a beautiful heated pool to relax in. We would definitely stay again, thanks.

Luxury and nicely decorated rooms, kids loved their rooms with pool view. January nights require wood burn heating to warm up. The heated pool is a daily treasure on colder days. The Fabrica Velha bakery with delightful pastries and a nice seating area is a 7 min stroll away. Carvoeiro has a few good restaurants remaining open in January, so it is wise to book a table in advance. Thanks to the owners, housekeeping and pool guy!

This was our second stay at this property. Just like the first visit it was spotlessly clean and was cleaned again during our stay. There are 4 bedrooms with very comfortable beds, plenty of storage space and a family size bathroom and an en-suite. There is a very well equipped kitchen and a lovely living room but with a lovely outside space we didn't use this room. The highlight for my family is the fabulous swimming pool area which is very safe for children as it has a gate to seperate it from the rest of the outdoor space if required. A fabulous time was had by all.

Only issue for us was the air con in our room was off for about a week - it was replaced so take it there was a serious problem with it
Town is threat and bakery is fantastic for breakfast
Loads of places to eat , great wee beach

Our stay was lovely and homely. I feel some of the amenities could be upgraded from past experience in villas in the Algarve I.E. coffee machine and smart TV as standard nowadays. The AC broke twice in during our stay and the building manager didn’t respond at all on the second occasion. Otherwise it was exactly as described and very present.

When we arrived the villa well presented and is very spacious for our party of 4 adults and one child it is well equipped and the pool is a good size. The cleaners and pool man were very good. I will recommend the villa to my friends and family.

Beautiful property in nice location, bit hilly but handy for everything, 10 mins to town centre, everything was as expected and better in some areas. Great for family as spacious both inside and outside, heated pool added to the kid's great time.

Had a lovely stay, about 10 minute walk to town. We got breakfast a lot from a bakery a short walk away. We had lovely meals out. Great location for a family holiday.

Communication with the owner in arranging the rental was excellent. The only 2 negative issues was the AC unit in my daughters bedroom was blowing hot air and took 3 days sorting out the issue. Also the water went off (not the owners fault). 1st time was midnight on Wednesday until 10.30 on Thursday then again Saturday at 5.30 until midnight. We really enjoyed the stay and have booked again for next year

We did have some plumbing issues which were resolved quickly. Patricia is an excellent host who always responded to emails. The villa is lovely and spacious as is the outside space. Pool was a big hit. Overall would highly recommend.

October holiday
Overall lovely villa in good location. Pool was fabulous and worth getting it heated as was October. Living areas and upstairs bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. As we were 6 adults, we found downstairs bedroom a little small and lacked storage. More for kids with the bunk beds.
Neighbours have dogs which were at times noisy with their barking. Despite this. We had a great week and would definitely stay again.

Casa Dragao
Villa location was good not too far from town, beach, bars and restaurant but is a steep hill for walk back. Villa itself is spacious but I think where it may not have been used in a while due to covid could have done with a bit of airing. The two double rooms the beds are uncomfortable (we did not use the other rooms so cannot comment on them) and lets the villa down a little. There are a few things that need a bit of TLC for example the pool cover could do with replacing as left all bits in the pool, even after the pool cleaner (or my husband) had cleaned them all out they were coming out of the filters and the sun loungers and chairs. I would say for the price you are paying, once things are back to normal that a few bits could do with being up dated.

Great stay in Carvoeiro
This house suited our needs perfectly when visiting friends in Carvoeiro for New Year. Clean, plenty of space, nice pool, fireplace, easy walk to shops, restaurants, beach etc (and good training on the way back up ;) ). Helpful property owner, service minded property manager and good "informationbook". Extra plus for heating system possible to add as we were there in dec/jan! Would definitely rent again.

Lovely villa
We had a lovely holiday in this villa. We travelled with our three small children and they had a wonderful time, they were particularly pleased with the toys and pool! I found the walk back up the hill hard going with a toddler in a buggy so we mostly took cabs back up which were always readily available. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the villa to anyone.

Perfect family vacation
Property is everything we could have asked for! Excellent for young families as has gated pool, stair gates, high chair, toys and much more.
Host and staff we came across were lovely and very friendly and helpful. Location is good. 15 minute nice walk down to the town. Walk home bit more difficult due to steep of hill. However can be done or very easy to grab an uber if not which is only few euros.
Highly recommended.

A Wonderful Holiday.
We were a family party of seven with ages ranging from 7 to 60. The accommodation was perfect for us, very clean and everything ready for us including swimming towels. The bed linen and towels were all changed during the week as well. Without a doubt the outside area and pool were the highlight for our family. The pool itself is great, we paid for heating which meant it was warm enough to go in at any time. The outside area always has sun and shade so suited the requirements of the whole family.
The facilities provided were very good and we wanted for nothing equipment wise.

Lovely spacious property in a great location. Our family of seven were very comfortable. The heated pool was a God send and, despite the fact it was February and it was still a touch on the cool side, we were in it every day. The location of the property is excellent and the information in the guest folder was very useful. Praia da Marinha was stunning. We loved Ferragudo as the beach there was excellent for our 5 and 3 year old. The sand is good for castle making and the sea is calm due to the harbour wall. There’s also a playground and several lovely beachfront restaurants. We also enjoyed most of the recommended restaurants, especially Ele and Ela and the pizza place. We had a great family holiday and could definitely see us visiting again in the future. Thanks:)

Fantastic villa and holiday
Beautiful villa with everything you need for your stay, everything so well equipped and very homely. We travelled a group of 8- 5 adults and 3 kids for 1 week, 1st- 8th August. The kids absolutely loved the pool which was cleaned twice a week, the pool guy and his son are lovely, we stayed during the heatwave and then the scary fires (we could see and smell the smoke and also had the ash rain) but we were so reassured that we would be ok.
The maid Maria also came twice during the week and again she couldn't do enough for us- we did leave a tip but it was well deserved! The villa is up a hill which is hard work when coming home and sometimes there wasn't many taxi's around unless you wanted to wait around 45 mins so we just walked it which took around 15mins. Carvoeiro is a lovely small town and the evenings in the square are fantastic, lots to do, kids loved the dancing! I would advice if you are a large group to book the restaurant you want to eat in the day before as it does get really busy, we had a couple of meals in and used the barbecue, which was better than ours at home!
This villa is fab, beautifully decorated, very well equipped for all your needs, fantastic pool and outdoor terrace. We did pay extra for air con but we deffo needed it in the 38 degree heat especially at night!
Patricia the owner was extremely helpful with all the local info she had emailed us prior to our visit, this was very useful and much appreciated!
Would recommend this villa and would certainly book again., we loved it!!

A great family holiday villa
We had a great time in Casa Dragao- stayed for ten days with our three children. The pool was fab- a great size for playing and splashing. The walk in to town was an easy ten minutes downhill (our favourite restaurants was just at the bottom of the hill- Taste) and a slightly more energetic 15 minute walk back up the hill again after! The villa had everything we needed- the toys were handy for our youngest and the a/c in the bedrooms was welcome at night.
The only slight downside (which is entirely out of control of the owners!) were the very noisy neighbours we had for 3 of our nights as the walls are quite thin!

We really enjoyed our stay in Casa dragoa. Patricia couldn’t have been more helpful. We had a 2 year old with us and we had to vacate at 12pm so I asked Patricia could we vacate at 1pm which she allowed us to do. The villa was very spacious and clean. The area was lovely. We were only a 15 min walk to town, it was a steep hill coming back but we didn’t find it a problem even the 2 year old thought it was fun. We loved our stay and will return. Thank you Patricia.

Excellent villa - home away from home
Whilst this was our second visit to Carvoiero it was our first at this villa. Absolutely loved it and will definitely be back again.
All the communication from Patricia and then from the management team on site was spot on and really friendly.
The villa itself is very comfortable, everything is of high quality and it has everything you might need and more. The toy box was a winner since we have two small children.
It wasn’t a far walk into town and the hop on hop off bus stop is nearby so we got tickets for that on some of the days to make it a bit easier.
The villa itself really is a home, felt so happy here.
