About this apartment rental

This is an apartment full of atmosphere. It is set in a historical context, on the first floor of one of the oldest buildings in the city, and still retains many original features, such as the ancient terracotta pipe that brought water from the roof to the tank under the street level; at the same time it provides all the comforts of a modern apartment, from the autonomous heating to the dishwasher and wifi.
The real peculiarity is the vaulted ceiling which preserves the entire original mattonata. It is a rarity, of which there are only a few other examples in the world, including some in Assisi. The ceiling is characterized by its deep red color, typical of the "pisanelle" of the early Middle Ages (1200) and the fact that the bricks are very thin compared to those of today.
The loft is composed of a living room with two sofa beds, kitchenette and a mezzanine, with a double bed; a room with another mezzanine, on which there is the second doublebed; and the bathroom.
The cooking corner, in Genovese style, with a marble working top, is fully-equipped with induction burners, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, and espresso coffee machine.
It has been recently completely renovated not only in the systems but also in the interior design, and it has, among other things, two large closets for guests who stay for longer stays.

The loft is on the first floor of a palace built around the eleventh century by the Camilla family and it remains today the oldest witness in the world of 'tower house'. The staircase and the facade should be restored soon. It exposes to the south, and is therefore very sunny; it overlooks a small square full of green, where you can stop and get some 'fresh in the summer days and that is closed to the public at night. In the morning you will be awakened by singing birds! It is located in the pedestrian zone (with shops and historic workshops) and therefore enjoys complete silence; However, the taxi can take you straight to the front door. In less than five minutes you can reach several public parkings and the main metro stations and buses. It is the ideal base for exploring on foot the area of the Aquarium (3-5 min), the center (3-5 min) and the museum area. The Cathedral of San Lorenzo is 100 m away. With the old lift sung by the poet Caproni, you can reach "Spianata Castelletto" in just a few minutes, which offers an incomparable view of the entire city.

NOTE 1: It is possible to book a parking space in the silos of the Via Marina Park at 15 Euro per day. The Silos is 700m (8 min walk) from the apartment.

NOTE 2: Large groups can also book the loft on the second floor in the same building (ad nr. 1489506). There are 13 beds alltogether, 6 here and 7 in the other loft.
To compute the correct total quote, please add the quote for this loft + the one for the other loft, always entering the correct number of persons in each apartment.

The location was absolutely the best! The apartment was so charming with the bricks and shutters, etc. I didn't end up cooking since we were so close to so many amazing restaurants that there was no need. The apartment wouldn't work for someone with mobility issues but we loved it. The restaurant next door can be loud if you have the windows open but they don't stay open too late. Definitely a great place to stay if you want to be in the heart of things!

The loft is comfortable and spacious has so many things that make a longer stay easy. There's even a dishwasher, washing machine and iron. Paola was so helpful and gave us plenty of information on the local area. Some difficulty connecting to WIFi, due to reading password incorrectly. Paola was able to call in and sort us out very quickly. Her suggestions for a stay in the La Spezia/Cinque Terre area completed a great fortnight in Liguria. There are ladder steps up to the sleeping areas , but the excellent lighting allows easy access if its dark. Although there is a restaurant below the Loft, it is not noisy. The super position in the old town is convenient for restaurants, real beer within 50m at Beer and Bagel, and local food shops. Italian schools start back second week of September so there are a lot of changes to public transport timetables, for example train to Casella stops running. Remember that many museums are closed Mondays. We could have stayed for much longer than a week and still not be tired of the Loft or the city - thank you Paola
