Conveniently located place to stay, 15 min to center by bus and on the line to airport or bus terminus. Room does the job for a short stay. Wifi perfectly working and price cheap for the Quebec area.
Amenities in the room are dated. Bathroom was on the corridor very far from the room. Bed sheets were thrown to the room one day for self replacement, but nothing more of a service.

Great location, park your car and bus everywhere which is an easy system to navigate. You get what you pay for. It’s clean and bug free
The beds were a bit weird, think guest pull outs but clean and I used my own pillow and found a nice fleece blanket in the closet and slept on top of cover.

J'aime la simplicité de ce genre d'endroit et je me suis sentie en sécurité. Très bon accueil et gentillesse des autres résidents.

Bed is not that comfy

The staff is really friendly and helpful. I like how they're available 24 hours. 2 windows in the room able to be open all the way. The beds, room and bathrooms were really clean. Free face cloths, bath towels, hand soap and shower included.
Loud. Got woken up multiple times by other residents banging things around. There's also this intermittent buzzing sound that started early in the morning and went for a few hours. I couldn't really sleep with that, which is the whole point of getting a room - to sleep. There were two outlets in the room, one didn't work.

no air conditioning, Had to open the windows and people were outside my room all night talking

Affordable and basic room like I needed. Location is fine; accessible to downtown enough for the price. From reviews, I expected it to be a little loud/uncomfortable but actually didn't have any issues there.
Check-in was brutally slow and the room was not super clean.
The front desk staff I met first was fine but not warm, and he spoke too quietly to offset the background sounds; my French is honestly decent, but I expressed it was difficult to hear him and he kind of annoyedly switched to English for a sentence or two instead of speaking louder. Check-in was a slow process involving handwriting on post-it notes. I wondered if they'd expected me.
Residence was across campus; no big deal, except I had key card issues, waited forever on hold with the front desk and spoke to passing security, but no one answered or came back so I ended up walking back and forth again. Ultimately fine, but not fun when exhausted. I finally got to my room 2 hours after I arrived to check in (initial check-in was maybe half an hour, sat awkwardly on hold for 45+min, plus a bunch of walking with luggage).
Room was fine, but there were hairs on the pillow and desk, random bits on the desk (eraser dust??) and there were a lot of colourful bed fluffs. The main overhead light didn't work. My standards aren't too picky, a little dust is ok, but please do wipe down the main surfaces!! Even 30 seconds with my washcloth made a huge difference.
FYI: optional breakfast was not available as of late May, despite what their Booking.com said.

Location is good. Staffs are good. Free Wi-Fi is good.
The bed. Is very very bad. Not supportive at all. Feeling painful when I wake up

Room comfortable and amenities fine. There was a store nearby for purchasing healthy food (although this took some effort to find). Convenient for the university sporting facility we were using. Sleeper couch comfortable.
While the room itself is pleasant, the corridors are a bit scary and feel like a prison. Also, the smell of second hand smoke in the corridors was overwhelming. We had to hold our breath & quickly enter our room!

Not really anything different from an actual hotel in the room. Although walking into the room you can clearly tell it's a student residence. It's not brand new but well worth the price. Many reviews mention the absence of air conditioning, but we found a more than adequate portable AC unit inside. Might be something new this year.
Not really given you're living in a residence.
