No stay - was turned away after making reservation

I reserved a pet friendly room. Got there at midnight to be told no pet friendly room. We were evacuated from NWT so this just added to a bad day. I will never stay at that hotel chain again, and I will never use Booking again.

Good

Great location downtown peace river and good rates

The furniture was very outdated including the loud AC unit. Also no breakfast was included and the pool was closed to guests but we saw staff splashing around in it after hours

Adequate but wouldn't stay again or recommend

It was adequate but had my wife been with me we would not have stayed. I will not stay again

Room wasn't great, not super clean, shoddy and a bit run down

The staff was awesome to deal with, very helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Angie at the front desk. She went above and beyond her duty to accommodate us. Hats off to her! ***Edited to add...I think my review is the only one on here that didn't get a " Thank you Foster, safe travels" property response. Hmmm ok....🤔

It would have been so much better if the pool was in working condition.....it may have justified the price 😕

Don't stay here

Cracked bathtub floor fixed with tape that cracked. Doors sometimes didn't latch shut. Wall mounted heater cycled on and off every 2 minutes, was very loud had to unplug it at night

Great stay. GREAT TUBS!

I liked the location, it was great I did my first aid stay just down the street, near the blue star thrift store. The mall and the dollar store. Beautiful view of the Peace river. I left a note for the maid to leave some extra coffee/mate and sugar as I love to drink coffee and they went above and beyond. The shampoo and conditioner , soap were awesome!

It's not that I didn't like it but the pool was under renovation so for my stay it was kinda a bummer but the bath tub was so beautiful. So due to the pool being under renovation the tub definitely made up for it. for all the future people that stay I'm sure they would love it. The small small amount of detail that should be up kept up to date

a pool and breakfast were advertised. these were reasons we booked this hotel. Neither was available and it was very obvious the pool had not been used in some time.

For me I will rate it a 5 Star hotel.

Amenities were all within walking distance. The staff was friendly. The hotel had an all-day breakfast menu for those that are late risers.

Not what I expected

The staff were very friendly and polite. The price was pretty low. The mattress was new and comfortable. The linens smelled of bleach which was actually comforting given the surroundings.

The image showed on the booking.com site was nowhere near the actual building. The building is old and decrepit with cinder block walls. Facility was full of workers who were partying, drinking, littering beer cans on the ground and throwing beer cans around and at each other off the balcony. The door to our room was broken and had to be forcefully opened. If it wasn't for the inconvenience I would have gladly paid more to leave and stay somewhere else. Never going back.

Non-smoking rooms are not as advertised. Room STUNK like a dirty ashtray. I don’t think their cleaners were aware that we have been experiencing a pandemic. Surfaces were not cleaned properly. The bed was exceptionally comfy!!! The staff was a nice guy - clearly run off his feet with being the only staff available 24/7. Very disappointed the pool was empty - primary reason this hotel was chosen.
