Perfect relaxtion by the sea

What can you say for a stay which was as near perfect as one could get? In my opinion the equal of "The Luxury Hotel" in Tofino at a price the average traveler can afford.The only slight negative was in the restaurant where the food was top quality but portions were large for us old folks. This seems to apply to most restaurants in Canada. Why not add a senior's menu as most restaurants in Europe do. It would avoid the practice of many plates going back to the kitchen with food wasted. Cost effective and good for the environment. Otherwise no complaints whatsoever.

felt like a tropical holiday. so much to do

location on sight restaurants.

horrible had a poor location. far from the hotel location. seemed fine for the cabins. another 1 or 2 hotubs located closer to the hotel and beach locations would be nice

Wonderful and relaxing stay with the best sea views.

Wonderful location and views of Cox beach which is the best surfer beach! really great chill vibe across the whole place and particularly loved the outside bar space with firepits overlooking the ocean. Really nice room with ocean view and a huge bath! very comfy bed and nice additions like local coffee and sweets in room, blankets for outside and rain jackets! also decent gym space and great hot tub! Service was also excellent with very helpful front of house staff!

You need to drive into town or get a taxi which is about 20 CAD but definitely worth it given the picturesque location!

Thought compared to other establishments on the east coast the restaurant was a bit overpriced. if you are not a surfer or like pool, there is not a guest bar, unless you attend happy hour in the Great Room

We enjoyed our stay there with a few minor complaints.

Beautiful location and friendly staff. Room was spacious and clean. A bottle of wine was provided to help us celebrate our wedding anniversary.

We had brunch and dinner in the Great Room. in both cases, the food was tasty but not hot. We stayed in Room 205 which was right beside the kitchen and public washrooms and could hear the kitchen staff shouting to the wait staff. We asked to change rooms, but they were full. There was a tree just outside the balcony which blocked a substantial part of the view to the left.

Highly recommend!

From check in to check out, and everyone in between the staff were excellent. So nice and very welcoming. Great location and very relaxing atmosphere. We had a great stay and will definitely come back, probably for longer.

A relaxing hotel on the beach

The room was a decent size, and had two chairs with a good reading light. They are eco-friendly, with little or no waste from products used in the bathroom, ie. soap, shampoo etc. Robes and slippers were provided, and we were very comfortable.

Superb

Very nice hotel in front of the beach. Great sunset from the restaurant ! The restaurant was nice too! Very confortable bed and good room size. Coffee and the available in the room.

Room 302 is uninhabitable. no air condition , no ventilation, cheep fan. it was over 85 degrees at night. front desk answer was none of the rooms have air conditioning. Front desk did not care. You rent a standard room at 500 a night and that’s what you get.

We relaxed in our forest cabin which provided us with informal upscale comforts.

our cabin 15, felt private while being attached to another. Forest greenery provided lush screening for cabin. The cabin kitchen was well equipped and a local coffee was even provided. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. The beach was a great spot for walking and watching the surfers. we did not eat at the restaurant but did have drinks. Gorgeous views were had out all the windows. The resort is close to Tofino and other beach access points as well as restaurants and tours. The botanical gardens were two hours enjoyably spent. I would recommend this property.

A beach view from the cabin would have been preferred but the cozy forest setting was certainly enjoyable and relaxing. In all, there was nothing we could say we didn’t like.

Comfortable & accommodating.

Obviously, the ocean; ground floor direct exit, front desk and room service, cleanliness, fireplace, washroom excellent,

Maître D’ (on learning curve .. early in season) attempting to please demanding boss while ignoring customers/guests; spa cafe/bar/lounge .. Whole place had ambiance of everyone learning which was entertaining, occasionally annoying & I wonder if price reflected guests being test specimens for upcoming season? Tv has no value without xtra $ so, although I am tech ignorant, appears to have no value.

Exceptional

We last stayed here 12 years ago and on return it did not disappoint. It was just as beautiful as the first time. We stayed in a beautiful room with an ocean view balcony of stunning Cox Bay. The room was spotless with plenty of room. We had breakfast both mornings at the lodge which were excellent (lots of choices). The restaurant/lounge area is beautiful with huge windows allowing perfect views of the ocean. Outside there are nice sitting areas and a small bistro. The staff were warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this place for a little slice of heaven.

wonderful stay at a high quality establishment.

wonderful location with the great room overlooking Cox Bay.The bed and linens were high quality and the bathroom was clean. the tub filled so quickly with hot water and complimentary epsom salt that was a perfect way to end the day. the food in the dining room was excellent.
