Extremely disappointed with my stay

There is nothing to like unless you expect the same amenities as a comfort Inn at a Hilton price

1) I booked with booking.com and paid taxes and fees. I get to the hotel and they charge me almost $400.00 in additional taxes and fees for a two night stay. Needless to say, I was upset. 2) The sink was clogged, and the shower would not work without assistance from the maid. 3) I expected to have cocktails by the pool. The bar does not open until 4pm each day. Also, lots of kids 4) There is no beach access across the street. You need to walk over a 1 1/2 miles to get access to the beach 5) The pool towels they provide are small and very thin. Same quality as a motel 6 6) Pool area is much smaller than the photos appear

Decent but definitely not worth the price/would not return.

Breakfast is average hotel Breakfast, had a burger grilled out by the pool it also was average, property lounge and garden were nice and had games to play if you sign them out. Nice to be able to see the beach from property.

Hotel front desk staff and management, hotel hallways have no ac and windows are open so warm smelly and humid when not in your room or lobby, elevator is beyond slow, hotel beds very firm and bed linens very uncomfortable, during my stay there was a pool towel theft problem so you had to sign out towels and not all staff on same page, I feel this to be unacceptable from a hilton, beach is across a busy street and you can either walk a mile to safely access it or you can hike down to it, so eventhough you can see the beach accessing it is a different story, also hotel is not in walking distance to anywhere, close but not walking, and if you try to Uber nobody ever accepts the trip because it's to short, just assuming that, so you will need to drive.

best i can say is it served its purpose for one night

The room was generally stocked well with clean sheets and better than average quality bath linen.

The exterior of the property is not well maintained. The parking lot is not in great condition, luggage carts are in poor shape. While the room was generally clean...needed some on-going maintenance.

Pleasant, clean, and refreshing stay. They charged too much for a parking spot!

Recently remodeled, and they implemented some technology for check-in and out, door lock, and others. It was really clean, and the personnel was friendly and welcoming.

the parking fee is too high, for no services at all. They just have a parking lot and charge this $22 a day for a spot. Sad!

We were very happy with our stay.

The location was very convenient for us. We were a short drive from everything we needed and had the advantage of not being in a crowded area. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the bed was super comfortable.

Considering the property's location, we had to pay a $20 per night parking fee, which I thought was excessive. While I understand the business aspect of it, I thought the fee was double what it should be.

Maids are GREAT! So helpful.

Not worth the money. The rooms and hotel are run down. High for pet fees and parking. Charge for breakfast.

We loved Carlsbad, hotel was nice. Staff was nice.

Beach view but no beach access. You could wire the ocean across the street but could not access it from the hotel location. We lost electricity during the storm and the only compensation was a night of parking. Bad. Bar hours were bad. You should have all day hours regardless of business. Room cleaning not available every day. Poor restaurant hours as well.

overall, it is a nice place to stay. i would recommend it.

the decor of the public areas was nice. also the courtyard with the seating and the fireplace and string lights was very cozy

the pool needs to be worked on, it was a disappointment. also the pillows in the rooms were very uncomfortable.

I had a nice time with my daughter, we had some serious issues.

Staff is wonderful

No ambience no personality . Dining area is drab, bar is small and without character. Not a destination hotel. Outside pool area and surrounding area is filthy. Tables and chairs need to be cleaned, and the floors. Yes close to the beach, however if it is bad weather, the hotel should be an oasis. Won't be a return guest.

Excellent location.

Plumbing seemed to maybe have an issue. It smelled sightly like sewer when we used the sink. We had other friends staying there as well and they noticed it too. Room was otherwise clean.

Great weekend getaway the met our expectations.

Location was nice, just far enough from town to enjoy the piece and quite.

The hotel could use a little updating in the rooms and general areas. (i.e.) elevators, hallways etc.

Very poor

The room was clean. The housekeeping staff were kind.

The smell of Marijuana filled the halls. I was over charged. I had to run my card for both rooms separately. The pool was not heated.

It was nice and a gorgeous location but I dont see myself going back to this one.

Breakfast was great, beach across the street was nice.

Lunch was not served which meant I had to walk about a mile or so to get something to eat. As it was nice to walk across the street to the top of the beach the mile away entrances on both sides were not very stable to get on to the beach. There was a huge stain on my tub that no one cleaned with a hair stuck to it, the was small hairs on a face towel.

Loved the place and will be coming back soon.

everything was great. Location was great and when I told people where I was staying they highly recommend. Breakfast was great and host was very friendly. The checking in and out process was very smooth.

I was not happy with the bar tender/host on 4/4 and 4/5 but the gentleman on 4/2 and 4/3 was very nice and humble. Didn't eat at restraint on 4/6 because he was the host.
