Convenient location
Very noisy
Heat didn’t work
Very pricey for quality of lodging
3.3
Staff friendly and answered questions. Helped us with our booking. Coffee pot did not work.
3.3
Very clean. Decent amenities. Location.
Guests upstairs very noisy arrival at 1030pm.

The room was adequate but decor and furnishings are tired. The price was a bit high considering the season and the next day we were in Victoria for $70 less per night. The owner was very friendly.
The tip function when paying for your stay. Why would we tip when we only arrived a few minutes ago and haven't even been to the room? I was shocked by this.
3.3
it was right on the highway
there was no air conditioning and it was very hot
3.3
The price exceeded what was on the booking.
It was 28 degrees and there is no air conditioner
3.3
Location that showed up in Google maps was off by a short distance from the actual address

Took awhile to figure out air conditioner

Friendly host, clean rooms
very dated, the road noise is constant and the rooms smell strongly of air freshener.
We had a family emergency and couldn’t find another hotel for love or money being a long weekend, we paid the same price in another hotel the next evening that we did here, it was over $200 for the night. Fine for a newer hotel with amenities like pools and free breakfast, but not so much for somewhere so dated and in need of TLC
3.3
Quiet. Polite welcoming employee.
More effort on decor.
3.3
close to all amenities. good bed. very clean.friendly front desk.
very very basic. close to highway- could be unacceptably noisy in warm months -ok this time of year
3.3
Comfortable beds were the only positive point.
Very old, crooked furniture, extremely thin walls so you can hear the next room neighbor sneeze. First floor rooms very disturbed by the walking on second floor (the group above us came in at 2:00 am and kept their shoes on and moved furniture around and watched tv until 3:30, so no sleep for us)
Dirty bathtub, reddened shower curtain from mildew. No air conditioning, no heater on (very damp day), quite humid in the room, very close to the main busy road so trafic quite noisy. Reception desk very stuffed and messy and smelly.
Way too expensive for the value. Will not recommend and will certainly never return!

I booked this location because there were no other accommodations available (my fault - I booked at the last minute). The location was good - just outside of Nanaimo (20 minutes drive) and close to the airport for those who are flying - but it was also right beside Highway 1 and the unit windows were facing the highway with traffic noise for most of the night.
The fixtures and furnishings were antiquated and in poor shape (except for the bed which had a comfortable mattress). The toilet ran throughout the night. Also, the towels, sheets, curtains and carpets were dingy.

The lady who checked me in was very charming ! Made me feel very comfortable.

I travel extensively and this experience takes the cake for the least value for the room. It was SO expensive, and SO low brow. It really is a $79 a night sort of place - pretty shoddy. We paid over $700 for two rooms, and they also overcharged us another $200. I understand when there is high demand hotels can charge more, but this crappy little place could never be worth what we were charged. I just feel so ripped off.

Lady stayed late for our late check in so that was very nice.
Very noisy. Close to two busy roads. Don't buy the breakfast from hotel. Its cheaper at the restaurant across the street which is where they send you!
3.3
Bedding was new and clean.
AC unit was old and nosy.
Noisy traffic.
Odor from age of building

Location is perfect and the room had a kitchen.
The floor looked clean but was actually very dirty. Any clothing or fabric that touched the floor came back brown/grey with dirt and dust. My only big complaint.
3.3
This place has a surprisingly nice view of the lake and its close to lots of cute shops. Also the front desk lady is super nice. The rooms and balconies are very clean and the AC works well. The beds are decently comfortable and the walls are thick so you don't hear anything from your neighbors.
It was maybe a bit expensive? I paid about $200 per night which is a lot for a motel. But I also stayed during the busy season in summer so maybe that was it. Also the parking is very easy to miss if you don't know where to look.
3.3
It’s a well-kept clean well run operation and the owners are, very nice and accommodating.
Location, view, It’s clean and you’re allowed pets
3.3
Breakfast was provided by an affiliated restaurant which cost me $9 per head, and then I knew that at the restaurant you can buy the same breakfast for $6, so it is 50% more expensive if you get the add-on breakfast through the motel. :(
everything else is OK
3.3
There was no breakfast included.
No air conditioning, just a fan, it was unbearable. An A/C unit was mounted in a window but was unplugged an no electrical outlet near enough to plug into. Presumably, it didn't work. Parking was poor.
