Room view
Old furniture, rude front desk staff, not worth the cost. If you just want the view or location it’s ok but really nothing special at all. Whatever/ whenever service doesn’t really work and housekeeping never came. No easy access to what’s nearby if you need anything. Google wasn’t cutting it. It’s way overpriced for not being modern or offering any helpful amenities.

I had pre-payed my stay through booking.com and got charged again at check-in. The staff was not helpful at all to solve the issue. Finally I could talk to the manager 3 days later after much insistence on my part, otherwise it appeared they couldn’t care less about charging me double!

It was clean
The room was very, very small for the price per night.

Location was great for the FS Museum and view of NYC.
We thought the hotel and the services, parking and restaurant were wildly overpriced.

Very clean and quiet
I asked for birthday accommodations which I did not receive. Pricey parking fees, and rooms don’t have mirrors.

Staff was very friendly. Rooms were extremely nice and clean. Didn't think they took my request for a city view seriously!

La vista de mi habitación, la cama cómoda.
Le faltan artículos de confort, cremas , pantuflas .
El desayuno regular, y además de pagarlo , me cobraron un extra de diez dólares más …

The location is excellent, with a view of NYC from our bedroom. From the hotel you can walk to shops and restaurants in Hoboken. Breakfast at the restaurant was good. Good coffee. Courteous staff.
We had stayed here three or four years ago, and noticed that this time it was not as good as during our first stay. This includes the restaurant, as well as the room furniture. There weren't a lot of people there.

The property was in a convenient occasion, and it was relatively clean.
The room was a little cramped, and very dark. There was not enough lighting to see when I was getting dressed or putting make up on. I had to go into the bathroom to have enough light and even there it wasn’t adequate. I expected much more considering the price of the room. I was even upgraded. I’m also having an issue with billing which I have to call about. I’m not happy to have to spend my time fixing that.

We enjoyed our stay very much and the skyline views from the hotel room was wonderful.
The main street was only a few blocks and on the waterfront there were several restaurants. The neighborhood was calm and not anyway near as crowded as any Manhattan street.
Great location with easy access to the Path train (10 minutes walk) and the ferries (20 minutes walk) so could reach Midtown or lower Manhattan within 20-30 minutes depending on the selected transportation. The Newport Centre was nearby as well and only a few stops by light rail.
Newark airport and city is also easily reached by train or taxi
Would definitely go back
The water pressure in the shower and toilet wasn't that good so we struggled a bit with flushing and washing of the soap - but nothing we couldn't handle

Great ambiance and I got to check in before 4pm which was perfect. I also love that checkout is at noon.
The king room was on the smaller side but the bathroom was wonderful. Only a shower and no tub,

I absolutely loved the location! The Hudson River view is everything! The bar downstairs is pretty good too and the hotel is surrounded by our many good bars in Hoboken
The only thing I did not take advantage of was the valet service. It looked like the attendant couldve used some helped instead of him doing everything but I can't complain about anything

Rooms need updating. My shade was moldy along the edges, the carpet well-worn in some places and the fan didn't work in the bathroom.

Halifax breakfast was one of the most disappointing breakfasts I’ve had at a hotel. Coffee and food were warm, not hot and we had to send eggs back two time for being under cooked.

The rooms were nice and appointed well.
The valet parking attendants were aggressive and poorly trained. I had experienced the same mistake as my guest when trying to park and the attendants yelling at us as if we are there every weekend. We are not. They asked us to pull up with poor signaling and scream at us (customers) when we were not clear with their directions when asking again. Never experience such poor service.

Other than the location, nothing! The rooms were so unclean, we had to checkout within an hour!!
The rooms, extremely old! The lobby is super swanky, but the levels of deception hit you as soon as you step out the elevators. The carpets, are dirty and stained. The rooms, seemed like they were worked on by a fixer upper. Chipped edges on the desk, bathroom ceiling mouldings done improperly. And the worst; the bed stains and couches had multiple stains!! Some bedding had combinations of dust and fur, and we were so tired after checking in at midnight, that we did offer the hotel to change the bedding. Lo and behold, still stained! I felt so frustrated that I stormed out the hotel. They did give a full refund (as they should, waiting on my credit card statement) I'd rather not be in this predicament in the first place. The location is genuinely good with good views of Lower Manhattan, but it is a shame that this is such wasted potential! Extremely disappointed that this is a Marriot Brand. And to Booking and all other hotel searches out there, please check and ensure that hotels are verified for stars. No where in the world would this be 4*. A 2* Wyndham Microtel will bring W Hoboken to shame!
