No mention on website or reviews that there was no elevator & room might be on 3rd floor. When I checked in, reservation was non-refundable, I found out our room was on 3rd floor. When explained I have bad knees & husband over 80, was told no other room available. Husband drug bags to room in 2 trips. I only went up the stairs when time to go to bed. Beautiful setting & wonderful chef.
Room was on 3rd floor & no elevator. Was not informed this prior to making reservation online.
4.1
Comfortable room but it required significant effort to open the hallway door (to the degree of pushing against the door with my shoulder).
Further from town than the description on the web.
4.1
Good location with good grounds and access to beach.
Comfortable bed.
Not great sound proofing from floor above.
Restaurant closed for breakfast and dinner
Not informed until after booking.

The spots for breakfast are very limited. I arrived in the evening and there were no more availabilities for breakfast despite the fact the hotel was prety empty.

spectacular setting & interesting layout
we had one of the 3rd floor mezzanine rooms, the first one offered to us (overlooking the parking) had a large picture window that had three panes, two that could open. upon trying to open one we discovered that one of the mechanisms was totally smashed and that the entire frame of a 6’ x 6’ window could move as it was rotten from water damage. an adult leaning against the window could fall out. thankfully we were put in the opposite room which faced the water and had no issues on the window. second the light switches are confusing. finally I didn’t see any well marked fire escape routes. access to the third floor is via spiral staircase - if that caught fire it wouldn’t be clear where to go

The room was very clean, and the bed was perfect. The view onto the lake was also very nice. The security has quite effective, when we had to complain about a big party in the neighbor room in the middle of the night.
The hotel does not have an elevator, one gets no support offered for bringing the luggage upstairs. Hence my wife could not have stayed alone in the hotel. The staff was very friendly, but not supportive when they were watching my wife having difficulties at the main door with her luggage, they were only watching smilingly. We have had much better service at cheaper hotels.

they brought us to a unclean room:(

Beautiful peaceful setting.
It’s meant to be rustic but could use an update.

The Auberge is an exceptionally attractive facility imaginatively planned and architecturally interesting. Our room had a generous balcony (shared with the room next door). Everything was first-rate, and the personnel were exceptionally helpful. Plenty of convenient, on-property parking and short walk down to the edge of the large lake.
Our itinerary allowed us to spend only a Sunday night there, which meant that the restaurant was not available to us for dinner that evening or for breakfast the next morning. That was too bad, since the kitchen has a nice reputation. But we knew in advance that would be the case. The boxed breakfast was more than adequate. We were a little disappointed that our balcony looked out on the parking lot rather than the lake!

The beach was nice to walk on and the pool and hot tub area were well maintained with the exception of the hot tub inside the pergola. It was in rough shape.
The entire hotel was outdated and in need of a facelift.

Room very spacious and clean.
Unfortunately power was out for 12hrs.......At check in we were not advised whether or not breakfast was available. Disappointing visit without power and unable to enjoy property. Expensive for the experience.

Location was so picturesque. You can walk down to the lake through a nice and light-guided wooden stairway. There are two different hot tub in and outdoor. Very polite and kind staff

Very clean, peaceful and comfortable for a brief stay. Beautiful views of the lake. We really enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and quiet atmosphere. Would definitely return in summer to take advantage of the extra services (restaurant, pool, etc.)

I like the beds very comfortable
I don't like the way the hotel doesn't have elevator

I loved the view and the room layout.
All was well.

The beds and pillows were super comfy. The bathroom was updated and clean and the shower a nice size. The outdoor hot tub was fabulous! The grounds are lovely. This wasn't a problem for us, but there is one spiral staircase to upper floors so you have to carry your bags up and down.
When we entered the room there was a strong perfume-like smell. We aren't allergic but it was not pleasant and an irritant for one of us. We opened the windows (the 2 inches they could open) which helped but we would highly recommend not using scented products in this day and age. We heard another guest asking if there were scent-free rooms available so we know it wasn't just our room. The room was a good size, but the layout was a bit odd. None of the 'comfortable' furniture was set up so you could sit and look out at the view. There was a heavy narrow table in front of the window with one dining type chair. The room had an angled view to the lake which was blocked quite a bit by trees. The furniture was pretty outdated and tired. The chair seats were actually threadbare in places. We were told there were robes in the room but there weren't so we had to ask to get them. The exterior of the place looked like it could use some TLC.

Hotel uses its splendid location on the shore to its fullest, with many rooms as well as the common areas looking out onto the lake. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, one could easily spend several days here. Free parking space in front and easily accessible from Montréal and Quebec City.
The hotel may have still been suffering from Covid restrictions but the breakfast offered was below any acceptable standard. It had to be reserved up front and, despite costing more than $15, consisted of nothing more than a foam box with a bit of cheese, juice and a bagel with nothin on it. Pity, consider other hotels during our trip managed to offer a decent breakfast while respecting all the additional measures.

Beautiful place, older but nice. Never used the outdoor spa but looked lovely.
They made sure we knew there was no elevator but were still unhappy to be carrying our luggage up a pretty steep spiral staircase.
4.1
Everything, it was increadibly nice.
The main restaurant was closed due to COVID, this was not the fault of the establishment,
other than that, we loved EVERYTHING!
