A boutique hotel that operates more like an AIRBNB

Attractive building and location, well maintained with comfortable with well equipped rooms.

This facility is promoted as a boutique hotel but, in fact, operates more like an AIRBNB. There is minimal interaction with the staff, there is no breakfast options available in the hotel even though the "hotel" has a restaurant. There are no staff on duty after regular daytime hours and as a result, no regular hotel items such as a bucket of ice available.

The initial welcome was enthusiastic and informative. The fresh fruit available in the hallways was really appreciated after a day of travels. Our evening meal in the dining room was exceptional - both service and food.

we really loved the location and ambiance of the hotel.

the history of the building and the character is very cool.

the shower heads, one in each bathroom, need replacing as the water comes out where they attach to the faucet. also, I dropped a water bottle lid under the bed and when I retrieved it, I discovered a 12” line of (undisturbed) dust in the middle of the floor, beneath the bed.

You should run to stay here

The value is all here...the staff were warm and welcoming and helpful...the grounds beautiful...the beach down the street, The dining was outstanding and the mansion ...well...a mansion. The history of Bing Crosby and John Wayne a real bonus. The rate was fabulous as well...loved it and will return.

All around, very pleasant stay. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Lots of history. Beautiful landscapes and close to everything.

The coffee provided in room was not the best, but they provided real cream in the mini fridge that kinda made up for it.

Lovely hotel with lots of character

When we arrived at the hotel were greeted with a bag containing our check in details, information about the hotel and a few goodies. A really nice way to welcome us. We loved the history behind the hotel and the uniqueness of each room. The staff were very friendly and informative.

Qualicum Beach is a beautiful town and the Crown Mansion was a great place to stay.

Very classy facility. Super quiet and private. Steeped in history as a lot of famous actors have visited the Crown Mansion. Lovely grounds with the Heritage Forest in behind and a golf course in front.

Room could have had a bit more furniture - another table and a proper mini fridge rather than a wine cooler. We were given a room at the back so no real view. Elevator was not working and rooms are on the second floor.

Was a nice stay but pricy for what you get.

Room was tasteful but small. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly.

Bathroom could use more counter space. Elevator wasn’t working and I use a blind cane so it was a pain using the stairs while carrying luggage.
