We slept with a chair against the inside of the door. Sketchy residents in other rooms.

The owner had a problem with crack addicts and the police were around for awhile.

I should have paid more and gone somewhere else.

the staff were quite pleasant

the room smelled of cigarette smoke. noisy cars coming and going at regular intervals. the fridge froze everything. the wifi dropped out regularly.

Go elsewhere if you can afford it

It's not in a terrible location in town and the staff was kind if not super helpful. It was cheap if nothing else.

The room was not clean, there were bits of hair on the floor. The heater did not work at all really and neither did the TV. The beds were not great and our door & window weren't sealed well. They let in a lot of cold air. I won't stay there again.

Disappointing

The beds were comfortable. The bedding is very nice. They allow dogs.

Do not stay here if the temperature is below -10C or 5F as these concrete block walls are cold!!!! The room cooled down in the time it took us to unload our luggage and then we had to wear our coats for the next 3 hours waiting for the heat to catch up. It was VERY cold outside, about -20C/-5F, so I am sure it is fine if it is warmer than that.

Exceptional

Super cute and easy to find. Owner was incredibly kind and accommodating of me arriving in the middle of the night. Absolutely would stay there again next time i drive to alaska.

Ghetto Hotel in Energic City

It was the only place in town with rooms.

The non smoking room I reserved was recently heavily smoked in as evidenced by smell and ashtray at entrance. Beat up furniture, mismatching tub handles, mould on ceiling, çhipped tub, disfunctional thermostat. Wifi was disfunctional. Owner did not honor advertised booking.com rate. Changed rate halfway through stay (increased by + 30% midway because of increased demand). Only cleaned room 3 times in two weeks. Said they had breakfast but did not (said you could get waffles from them any time but never seemed to answer front bell other than afternoons). Owner asked me to dinner but who wants to eat with man who ripped you off? Creapy experience best avoided.
