Sophia and her front desk partner provided wheelchair assistance and a supportive, respectful, and very smooth check in. Monica, the housekeeper, made sure that we had what we needed and that we were comfortable.
A Breakfasr Bistro from 7-10 am in the Tavern would be much better than a buffet. I don’t go to buffets anymore. The Tavern had both excellent food and service. Mitch and Cole made sure we were well taken care of.

Gorgeous property and location. We were only there 1 night and wished we could stay longer! We will be back.
It took a very long time to be served dinner. We arrived at 830pm and there were only a few patrons at The Tavern. Waitress was great but it too more than hour to get our food in a mostly empty tavern. The food was delicious though so it made us feel better about the wait.

Swimming pool, fitness center, sauna and steam room are all great facilities. Clean.

Cool hotel, not cookie cutter. Smelled nice too. Friendly staff from front desk, bar, to housekeeping.

Overcharged me for the room without receipt by $667. Kept my deposit with no explanation why and without incident reports. Was accused by staff of smoking in the room, even after proving otherwise they refused to further investigate the source of “marijuana” smell on my floor. I will never go back to this hotel, the staff was very unprofessional and the accusations without investigation were against our customer rights.

It was only a very short stay of one night so it work for us to spend the night there. We didn’t get to use the facilities.
It would be nice not to be charged a resort if you don’t use any of it. But I guess it would be difficult to control that.

I loved how peaceful it was during the day and night
I didn’t like the cleaning staff asking my child for a tip or questioning if we left a tip for them. No adult should approach a child or someone’s children

Perfect location for touring Heritage Village. Great breakfast buffet, low cost for room. Very comfortable bed and pillows. River view from my window!
Limited tv channels. No ice machine on my floor
4.5
All the above. Staff was super nice. Very grateful for the use of their wheelchair.
The breakfast buffet was way overpriced.
I forgot to let the desk know that the hairdryer didn't work and the lightbulb went out in our room on our second day there. I also wish the TV channels were easier to find .

Room smelled bleach and it was impossible to sleep
2.5
The setting. The staff.
a flashing message light and the front desk couldn't tell me how to retrieve a message 'cause it was a 'new system". LOUD - loud voices and footsteps in hall during night and doors closing very loud. TINY bathroom, no way for two people to use it at once, no towel racks. No real/paper menus for people who don't carry smart phones.

This was a quick trip to attend a wedding in the area. We did not use any services other than the room.

It reminded me of a ski lodge, kind of rustic and cool in that respect. It had a lot of great features, I like the bar and restaurants and the gym, and indoor pool.
our room smelled like mold! When you would open the door, the smell was really strong. My mom‘s eyes were watering as she is allergic to mold. We also had a problem with scout ants! We were not inundated with ants, but we killed quite a few single large black ants looking around. We did have a banana peel in the trashcan, and the ants found that so we had to deal with that.
The facility needed some updates. The carpet was really old and absolutely needed to be replaced.

Tavern restaurant had really good food and delivered warm and fast!

The gym and pool were nice, rooms were clean, hotel was quiet during our weekend.
The facilities were old and needed a refresh.

Location was good. Room was okay size and reasonably clean. Everything was looking a little tired and dated.
Southbury is a cute town with some nice shops and restaurants. I will come back for the town but won't be staying here again.
Food choices were limited. The breakfast started late and ended early and was expensive.

Pub staff were not knowledgeable about their menu at all. No idea what wines they had.

The hotel was terrific. The catering staff was a 10 on a 10 scale. We were there for an expo and were very pleased with almost everything! The food looked and tasted great...and when something on the buffet was running low, the staff was right there with fresh and new to replace it.
The bed was too hard for my liking.
4.0
indoor pool, location, fast check inn and checkout
Bed is too soft and not comfortable pillows.
