Prima maar meer van verwacht

2 persoonsbed is top. Slaapbank in de woonkamer is verschrikkelijk en ligt voor geen meter. Wel heel fijn dat je balkon met zitje hebt. Schoonmaak is matig. Gebouw is aan renovatie toe. Lift vonden wij wat onstabiel. Restaurant op beletage werd (nog steeds) verbouwd. Bar en restaurant bij bet zwembad tor 20u open. Zwembad aan de kleine kant en totaal maar 3 parasols. Niet te doen in de hitte. Ook tegels rond het zwembad worden loei heet. Door orkaan van 2022 is daar wel een hoop vernietigd we hadden het niet zo erg verwacht. Er wordt dus een hoop gebouwd daar om je heen. Overdag staat er een koffietruck op de parkeerplaats en die is top!

Slaapbank zou echt betere kwaliteit mogen komen. Zwembad, bedjes en vooral parasols matig. Restaurant was niet open.

Support reconstruction of FMB!!!

Diamondhead Ressort und ganz Ft. Myers Beach ist nach Hurrican Ian im Sept. 2022 im Wiederaufbau. Die Infrastruktur auf der Insel ist wieder am auferstehen, es gibt rings um das Hotel Restaurants und Läden, vieles wird mit provisorischen Lösungen abgedeckt. Für das Frühstück kommt z.B. ein Wagen von Moe Joe‘s Cafe vorbei. Die Küche des Diamondhead Ressort ist noch im Aufbau. Trotzdem wird eine kleine Menükarte und viele leckere Cocktails in der Bar angeboten. Das Servicepersonal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer /Suiten sind neu, sauber, grosszügig und gut ausgestattet. Es hat eine kleine Küche mit mikrowelle, Geschirr, Kaffeemaschine, Toaster und Kühlschrank. Die Parkplätze sind gratis. Das Hotel ist direkt am grossen, breiten, feinsandigem Strand, der Strand vor dem Hotel ist bis auf die Hotelgäste leer Wer nicht auf high-style, high-life, high-cost Miami Beach aus ist, findet hier den idealen Ferienort!

Dafür kann das Hotel nichts: Kleiner Stau jeden Abend beim verlassen des Nordinsel. Grösster Teil der Fahrzeuge sind Handwerker & Bauarbeiter, welche die Infrastruktur wieder aufbauen!

Hochhaus-Resort im Umbau am Strand, inmitten von den Überresten von Fort Myers Beach

Der direkte Zugang zum wirklich schönen Strandp. Das Zimmer und Bad waren ganz in Ordnung, bis auf die Klimaanlage. Der Fitnessraum war auch in Ordnung.

Eigentlich fast alles! Das Haus selber, noch nie solche dunklen und ungepflegten Hotelflure gesehen, eher wie in einem Bunker. Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer war so laut, dass wir sie ausgemacht haben, wenn wir da waren. Das Hotel war mit über 400€ pro Nacht viel zu teuer für einen solch niedrigen Standard und im unfertigen Zustand, mit Baulärm von 8-17 Uhr in einer fast völlig zerstörten Umgebung (April 2024). Der Pool war okay, aber alles so lieblos gemacht! Keinerlei Pflanzen. Das neu eröffnete Restaurant öffnet erst um 11 Uhr, es gibt also kein Frühstück. Wir fühlen uns abgezockt und können die positiven Bewertungen anderer Gäste nicht nachvollziehen. Die Fotos auf Booking sind z.T. aus der Zeit vor Hurrikan Ian oder geschönt.

It was up to date with its accommodations and it was very clean. The pool was clean and wonderful. And the location is perfect… not too close to time square but only a short walk.

À découvrir

L’emplacement, la plage et le grand balcon sont un gros plus. Le restaurant Cabanas est excellent et le personnel est très gentil. La cuisine dans la chambre est très bien équipé et le lit confortable. Le stationnement est gratuit.

Les inconvénients vécu ne sont pas de la faute de l’hôtel mais ont impacté notre séjour. Le première nuit, il y a eu une alerte de feu à 1h15 du matin. Tous les résidents de l’hôtel ont dû se réveiller et se rendre dans le stationnement de l’hôtel pour attendre les pompiers. C’était une fausse alerte. La deuxième nuit, nous avons mal dormi à nouveau parce que le vent était tellement fort qu’il y avait un cillement très fort par les portes. Le matin, le bruit des travaux de rénovation (dû à l’ouragan) ont débuté à 7h00. Malgré ces problèmes, nous retournerons sans hésiter à cette hôtel puisque les problèmes étaient circonstanciels.

toilet kept running all night tried to fix it myself sk for a discount at front desk and they said sorry about your luck have a nice day Plus power was getting turned off in the morning so had to leave early

Overall, we were very happy with the resort.

We were very happy with our room and the ocean view. It was comfortable and well equipped with what we needed. The pool and beach were exceptional.

Was not impressed with the menu selection at the restaurant, especially if you are at the resort for a week or more. There was no breakfast service either as the restaurant wasn't open until 11:00 am.

Pleseant stay for a few days in the Florida sun

Great location! Right on the beach. Big suites. Big balcony

I would stay again but for 1400 for 4 nights we thought they would offer a little more.

There wad no breakfast offered

Offer a vending machine we checked in a little after 8pm so we had no meal and we had been traveling so my son inlaw finally found d a McDonald's that delivered late. Next morning we thought there would be a continl Breakfast and there wasn't any till 11 am towels was an issue had to keep calling g for clean towels then they didn't bring wash cloths.

Wonderful, and can’t wait to be back!

Beautiful Location, and the staff was absolutely amazing! We will always stay or dine (we did both) where service is amazing! But in this instance the food, service, and cocktails we superb! Thank you Diamond Head!!!

They are still recovering from Hurricane Ian, and I am certain they will be back to 100% before long. And I encourage everyone to visit the Ft Myers area and lend your support to one of the greatest places Florida has to offer!

We had a fully stocked kitchenette with plates/ coffee cups Etc. They supply you with actual Beach Towels !!! 🙂 The Balcony was Large with an Amazing view of the Gulf / Beach ⛱️. The customer service is Outstanding, the ladies at the front desk are very helpful and friendly. You can even use the pool after you have checked out because you might have a later Flight like we did. 5 Stars 🤩. All the way !!!!!!!

A Gem of a Resort

Great location and well maintained facilities with excellent pool and beachfront amenities for their guests. Staff very attentive and hospitable which is essential for a first rate resort.

Need to address “little things” like making sure the sink doesn’t drain slow and guest doesn’t have to “jiggle the toilet lever” to make the toilet stop flushing. No guests want to deal with these annoying things while on vacation.
