Location - amazing! It's an old historic isolated place on an island, so it lives up to expectations of being rustic. Staff very friendly. Food in restaurant was Very Good!
There were plumbing problems during our stay (difficult to take a shower - low water pressure). We were told they had issues and a plumber was coming to fix it. When fixed, it will be OK.

Picturesque location. Quaint cottage with views of water. Passage of ferries visible from dining table.
Unfortunate that boil water advisory in effect. Staff shortage at restaurant resulted in closure on day of arrival and 45 minute wait for meal after placing order on third day of stay when we finally went there.

Disorganization , we did not have water the second day we were there, no water for showe,wc, etc.

I love the location to the sunset beach and quick route to business centre. The history was great too!
Bronwyn was a very good server, attentive and great at small talk.
Can’t complain.

I liked it all

Location was good. The parking was available at all times.
They tried to charge my card twice even after we paid them. The manager didn’t communicate with her team and tried to charge me a second time ($600) 5 days after we left property. When they realized that the money was already received they didn’t even bother calling back to apologize. We won’t certainly recommend this place. Besides, food is supbar and overpriced.

Lovely location.
We stayed in Room 2 & found it quite cold & drafty. When we mentioned it to a staff member, she asked whether there was a space heater in the room and said sometimes they use them. I said that would be helpful, expecting one might be brought to the room, but didn’t happen. The bed was comfy, but I slept in a hoody and sweat pants to stay warm. Restaurant was good for dinner, but no breakfast service was disappointing.

The Lodge has a great pub with solid food menu and nightly specials with live music
the view from the pub was stunning, including local lighthouse, sunsets birds and seals
the windows were so dirty you could not sit inside and see out to the view

A million dollar location. Heard the ocean surf and walked on the beach / rocks along the ocean right in front of the Lodge, gorgeous.

Beautiful views and the room was comfortable. Staff was friendly
Spider in the washroom and drywall in bedroom didn’t reach all the way to the ceiling but those are minor issues. I’d return

The location was extraordinary. We got a separate cottage number 19, it was approx 20 meters from the ocean. Parking was in front of the cabin entrance. The ceiling is sufficiently high, everything made of wood and looks pretty nice, the cottage had a lot of air. Kitchen was equipped by everything you need including the complete tableware for 4 persons. Tap water was not recommended for drinking, however bottled water was provided.

the check in process was easy but I put that I wanted to pay in person- but my other card online was charged- didn’t like that because I’m traveling and can’t get to my usa bank to transfer funds
the pub wasn’t open late for dinner or early for breakfast- we were only there for one night so it’s not worth buying groceries for one night. had to go looking for other options and there was nothing nearby

Staff, restaurant and location were all good. Always friendly staff
Mattresses were brutal on on both beds in #6.

The hotel is on the waterfront. So it would be best if you asked to take a room waterfront. If not, it's not worthwhile.
The room had a little musty smell.

Stayed in one of the cabins. The unique sandstone beach is across the road. Peaceful place for a break. Having the restaurant onsite is convenient for lunch and dinner and cabin has a kitchen for making breakfast. It's not a resort, so come with the appropriate expectations.
A bit more variation in the menu would be nice.

The location, the dinner and option of the pub on site.
The fact that there was no opportunity for breakfast.

there was no one to greet us or check us out. not sure how that works. it was not overly clean or pleasant smelling. the room was very warm even with the window open all night
