First room given us was so small that the queen bed doubled as wall to wall carpeting. The bathroom was so small that you had to step out of it just to change your mind. Fortunately when we explained our discomfort with the room they did find us a more suitable room. The seconded room was quite acceptable with an enjoyable view of the bay and city lights. The desk clerk was very kind and helpful.
No place to sit in the restaurant or bar. We were told by the hostess to stand in line for our wine and see if we could find a seat in the lobby.

Hot Tub and sauna
Food not exceptional, but price for food is.

Best location in the bay. A “grande dame”. Classic old hotel. A real gem. Beautifully renovated. Great staff great onsite food options. Love it !

I love the room, the view, the cleanliness and everything else.
I think it would’ve been a little more comfortable if the toilet area was more private.

The grounds are wonderful, the tennis courts and the pools superb!
The food is mediocre. Room service food even worse.
Only Provisions Cafe is good.

it’s gorgeous— so many amenities— and so grand and steeped with history
hard to park…but like the self parking option and being able to leave the lot without a fee

Location and amenities.
The servers at the restaurant were unpleasant every meal.

We’ve stayed here before, and love the hotel, location, and staff.
The specific room we had this time had an hvac unit of some kind in the closet, and it went on very often throughout the night, and was quite loud. We didn’t sleep well due to the intermittent noise.
Also, most of the self-parking lots were taken over by the valet parking, which was inconvenient for those who do not valet.

The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless.
They allowed a relative to check into my room and provided a key without my permission. There was no add'l name on my reservation but gave the key away nonetheless.

Everything. Location mostly. Safety. And it’s familiar.
Some areas need a little TLC.

Concierge services were excellent
No spa well coming station on the main floor to provide information and encouragement. No reflexology treatment which I was very much hoping for.

this is a grande dam of a hotel. unfortunately, it’s seen better days
short staffed, no mini bar, no sugar for coffee, view of the dumpsters , tv movie channels not available. no phone or internet when I arrived due to a storm but offer an upgrade!

service not up to par. no communication between departments. used smaller room than originally planned and charged the same price. king wait at check in. No in room breakfast on weekdays!!! incredible for this price never seem this. all hotels gave this specially this ‘high end’.

location
I was advised over the phone that the glove skating would be available for my grand baby and when we woke up the next morning, we were advised there would not be any gliss skating.. bummer for my family.

one of the rooms we had, took all night to warm up, like a refrigerator, but because of busy schedule did not take time to change rooms. Room#564 (?) the one without a view.

The location.
The Lobby seemed run down and needs new carpet. No longer an elegant Hotel.
