The staff is amazing and the hotel is beautiful. The location is also wonderful. It's very expensive but a worthwhile splurge! The rooftop bar offers a spectacular view of the harbor.

Elizabeth and Christina at front desk, Emma in the dining experience is outstanding and mostly Said in the Bell Captain is truly what makes the Vanderbilt make the Four Seasons cry.
Lack of 24hours in Room dining and Bar Service.

One of the more uniquely decorated hotels and rooms I've stayed in. Very relaxing and yet close to great places and sights in Newport.
Staff is very friendly and Morgan is a rock star concierge.

we paid 400 more than our friends for a Jr Suite. their suite had 2 bathrooms, one bathroom had a double vanity and shower, the other had a tub and single sink. they had a mini fridge, we did not have a fridge. we had a couch to sit on…unfortunately the TB was in the middle of the room not the middle of the couch. we had one TV, they had two. our TV had to be programmed to mirror a cast app from our phone to turn on Netflix etc..very complicated and we had to get the room service to come up to Stevie up the first night. we went without the TV on subsequent days and nights, Their TV turned on to Netflix via the remote. There were only 2 mirror lights in the bathroom ..could not see to put on makeup. room had terrible lighting everywhere.. had to go to a window to see to put on makeup. there wasn’t any hair dryer provided. worst accommodation I have ever stayed at and I paid $400 more than my friend! the rooftop bar did not have full service.. Belvedere was only served in the downstairs bar. Blue cheese olives were not available but the manager told us he would go get us olives for our second drink…not the first. . one of the appetizers my friends wanted was not available that night. we ordered flatbread which was cooked on the bottom, but raw dough on top.

Rooms didn’t have any storage in bathroom.

Very dog friendly hotel, they were welcomed just as if they were our kids which to us they are.
It could be cleaner in some places carpet was filthy in the room and the mirrors and chandeliers could use some detailing.

The garden patio and server Paulos, the lovely staff at the front desk. Allison personally brought up a sleeve of coffee capsules after her shift since only a few were in kitchenette. Shower was warm and powerful. Bed was comfortable and tv/WiFi worked fine.
For $900+ a night, we should not have been given un-renovated rooms or at least told upon booking that the suites were not up to par. The carpets had stains. Old glass shelves in bathroom were now at a slant and so were unusable as my items could crash to the floor. Couldn’t figure out how to use their phone to call my sister also in hotel. No wastebaskets anywhere in lobby or patio.

Great location and great breakfast. Although the hotel is under renovation, the staff did an outstanding job in attending us. Great hotel
5.0 / 5.0
The property was under renovation so the in hotel dining and bar situation was smaller/different than it would normal be; with that said, the rooftop deck is awesome, especially for sunsets! The staff made this trip 10/10, accommodated special requests ahead of our arrival, we’re always around to help, provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and bars, and we’re just generally great! Front desk, valet, waitstaff, bartenders, management, top to bottom, great people!!

Breakfast was good but not included in the price
We were charged $1600 per night plus resort fee and parking fee. They advertise as a five star hotel, I doubt it is four star. The indoor pool is not clean, basically overpriced standard hotel. Would never stay there again.
