Location
Old building with lots of issues . No AC in first room they put us in . We had to switch rooms . Second room had a loud leak in shower /tub

The location was convenient.
I called ahead & requested guaranteed late arrival. But when my family of 3 got there, we were told our room with 2 queen beds was not available. When I reminded the desk attendant about my call requesting late arrival, she was able to find a room with 2 beds. But the room was apparently being repaired, as the bed was pushed away from wall, nightstand turned sideways, pillows messed up. Also, the toilet would not flush!! A call to the front desk was no help as she again offered a King room for the 3 of us, or to send a repairman at 8:00 the next morning! So we had to keep the room & use the restroom in the hotel lobby. Unacceptable!! And no apologies for not honoring my request for late arrival. Upon checkout, the morning desk clerk did apologize & waive our $18 parking charge, which was appreciated, but not enough of a gesture to make up for a TERRIBLE hotel experience.

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and courteous. The hotel was in a great location, close to the metro, restaurants and shops. The area is clean and well lit at night. Parking is secure.
The pool chairs are in terrible condition.
3.4
The sleeping area was comfortable and clean. I was able to have a good night sleep
The entry door to the room presented a lot of friction. Very load when I entered and exited. The tub was not clean

The only good thing and worked in our favor was the metro was 3 blocks from the hotel.
No microwave in the room. Breakfast was not included and had to pay. The restaurant that is in the hotel is not open. The market place store inside the hotel was never opened. There was a small breakfast and dinner menu to choose from A LA CARTE that was the same everyday. The AC in our first room we were in did not work. We had to move rooms. The second room there was a dead bug found on the side of the bed.

Location
Paid a high amount for a King room but the AC didn't work in room 300. I even went down three times to the front desk to address the issue and each time nobody was there to help.

The location of the hotel is great, close to a subway station and easy to reach from the airport. Check-in was friendly and fast.
The room was outdated, there was a lot of dust on all appliances. The breakfast was not a buffet
3.4
Located close to the metro station with shopping and a variety of restaurants within walking distance. The hotel staff was warm and friendly.
The refrigerator did not work and a beverage from a previous guest was left in it. The mouthwash in the bathroom had been opened. Breakfast was rubbery scrambled eggs, greasy bacon and potatoes and sugary cereal - not worth the price. The elevators need to be cleaned.
3.4
The fact that the dining room was not available

The Shower pressure was great, location good. Clean
Did not have a continental breakfast.

The staff addressed all of our issues quickly. They noticed that we were a family traveling together by our last names and put us all on the same floor and in rooms right next to each other with out us even asking. The rooms were very spacious and the beds were very comfortable if you like a soft bed. The pillows are labeled which ones are soft and which ones are stiff which we liked.
Our card reader to the door didn't work for almost our whole trip. Every time we needed back into our room we had to go down and get new cards. It got fixed the last day we were there. Our T.V. stopped working so that also needed to be fixed during our stay. The ice machines were only working on 2 of the 8 or 9 floors of the hotel. Our floor was supposed to have a working ice machine so originally there were 3 working ice machines but it stopped working our first night. My brother and sister in laws had to switch rooms twice and the have a toddler. My father and step mother in law didn't seem to have any issues with their room but they did want to go to the bar the first night we got in and the bar closes at 9 so they weren't able to do that. My brother and sister in law had left at 5am so I'm not sure if they mentioned the issues they had or what was done if they did. We checked out around 930am. My father in law checked out first. He didn't complain but he didn't respond to her "how was your visit?", with a "It was great" so she kinda picked up maybe something had been wrong. He didn't say any specifics. She asked if he had parked in the lot and he said he did so she took the parking charge off the bill. My step mom thanked her and mentioned we were driving back to Ohio so she offered her a free bottle of water as well. Then it becomes our turn to check out. She asks us the same question about our visit and I do tell her our issues nicely. She asks if we parked and I tell her we didn't. That we had come with the people she had just checked out. She said "Oh, ok". That's it. No discount. Not even the bottle of water!!!! So I guess if your unhappy, you get free parking and if you didn't park you are just out of luck. We as a family travel to the D.C. area a lot and none of us will stay here again. I suggest you do the same.
