3.5 / 5.0
The room and staff were both excellent until checkout
They could have not kept my $250 security deposit for a month when I was there only about 12-15 hours and the room was in pristine condition when I left.

Nothing I didn't actually get to stay there. Once I arrived they try to charge me another $250. And on top of that they wanted $5 a day for parking of my vehicle. Absolutely ridiculous leaving out charges just so they seem like a good deal then you get there and you're you're being told that you have to pay $5 a day for parking. This company should probably get out of the hotel business considering they don't understand how a hotel works
Everything about this place was sketchy

We traveled to the area for Graduation events. Sonesta Simply Suites Phoenix Tempe was able to accommodate a [surprise-to-us] guest when a military family member was able to take some leave and join us for the celebrations. The hotel changed our room, so we could all be together. The hotel also provided a lot of services, including free use of the washers and dryers, kitchenette, and availability of a small store with "relatively inexpensive" items. We took advantage of the outdoor grill and had a cookout one afternoon.
The only thing that could have been improved in our room was the cleanliness. We found previous guests' towel, sports bra, and other articles in the bottom drawers of the bathroom vanity.

I booked this reservation on behalf of my parents. They enjoyed the convenient location of the hotel as well as the kitchenette and accessible bathroom. As a group, we took advantage of the grilling area one afternoon for a family cookout.
Unfortunately, their room had a very loud air conditioning unit. When it started up, it "sounded like a truck." They also had some issues with the accessible shower...While the shower head could be lowered, my mom was not able to reach high enough to make the height adjustment. Water ended up all over the bathroom floor.

Best value and size for the area. Thank you! Friendly and helpful staff.

From the moment I entered the building, the staff was polite, courteous, and friendly. I believe it was Theresa who was at the front counter during my check-in. She was very polite about explaining the amenities that were available or not available at the time. The room was very nice and supplied, which included dishes, silverware, and cookware.
The room was a home away from home. What I rather enjoyed most was the store on site to purchase food, snacks, or miscellaneous items. I will definitely come back here next time I go to Phoenix.

No breakfast.
Had 2 extremely loud Harley-Davidson motorcycles parked outside our window (#134) & at 3:45 am (4 feet distance from window) Saturday it’s engine was revved up very loudly & then kept running for 20+ minutes. At 87 & 85 y/o we were rudely awakened & startled so much that sleep was not an option after that!
Several other cycles started up very loudly after that. Why were these people not asked to park their loud vehicles far out at the far end of the lot???!
We assume hotel management was just greedy to get their rooms rented & did not care about their quiet unobtrusive guests!!
IWe will never stay at

Rosa the supervising housekeeper went above and beyond to help me. Much appreciated.
The front office night person was wonderful as well. Good location.
There were long black hairs on the bathroom floor and shower walls. Only a couple but was unpleasant.

Bed was comfortable, room was clean.
Had lots of issues with my room access cards. Initial entry, card 1 worked. Had to step out a few hours later. Couldn't get back into the room. Ended up with a new set, after 30 minutes of going back and forth (room to lobby) multiple times. Next day, 1 of the 2 cards failed again. I suspect it's a problem with the lock.
