The location worked for what we were doing in Maine. Breakfast was alright. The one thing for breakfast was that the coffee was horrible. Very strong, the last day of our stay my husband could not even drink it. Not sure if the brand they use is dark and bitter or the brewing method needs tweaking. The staff was exceptional. They were able to accommodate us with an early day arrival and kept us in the same room for the duration.
The coffee!

Didn’t have a place to sit outside.

The hotel is only minutes from downtown Augusta and far enough away to avoid any major traffic congestion. Comfortable bed, plus our room had a nice TV and mini fridge. Great for a one or two night stay. Breakfast was good with lots of options and of course was free with an overnight stay. All in all a solid hotel.
Our sink in bathroom was a really slow drain.
Make sure you bring your own water from a store for your fridge. The market in the hotel charges $3.50 per bottle. Yikes!!

The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
The beds were older and pillows too soft.

The hotel was easily located. The check in was easy and the fellow was so nice! The room was clean, the bathroom spotless. Breakfast was excellent and well done. It was an outstanding experience and is now our new go-to spot when we’re in the area and are staying overnight.
Nothing.

Breakfast was great
the bathrooms, the flush wasn't flushing well and no bath mat in the tub. My husband slipped and caught himself with the bar on the side of the tub. Told this when i checked out and the boy said sorry.

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The whole place was very clean. There were ample amenities and our room had a tub! It was good to have a soak after a long day.
Some updates are needed, as the place is very clean but there is obvious wear and tear that may be mistaken for being “dirty”. Understandable that would be the case post-Covid though and the whole experience was safe, quiet, comfortable and clean.

It was a little more costly than I had hoped

brightly lit all through the parking lots, easy to find, close to stores and restaurants

it was close to where I was working
it was rundown and tired on the outside. Outside lights not working. The building is tired on the outside. There was mold in the bathroom and the shower did not drain while taking a shower so I was standing in water up to my shins by the time I was done.

it was clean.
I was placed in a room that has known complaints and has a note stating not to put anyone in the room due to the complaints. This is on record when the properties team member was confronted.
lady offered a discount and new room. declined because we also took our children to the pool to go swim. we could see right through the glass window door. I watched the lady walk by look in, turn around come back , walk by again and then come in and state we can’t be there something is wrong with the waters chemicals and there is a sign on the door. first of all I watched the lady just now put it up. secondly, who is this lady? that isn’t the proper terms. you check ph levels or chlorine levels in your pool.
when the front was again confronted, they could not give a time for when the pool was tested , was notified that two of the children in the pool had autoimmune disease and then on record again, decided to argue that the dogs where up before she even clocked in. I watched the other lady tap her paper sign while we were CURRENTLY in the pool.
is this how all guest are treated or is this because my family is African American? it seems most of Augusta is not very welcoming if you are Black. I took my business to Homewood suites. excellent staff. the only type of racism I receive their is from their other customers and that’s the other customers issues. but their staff was very kind! and I had 0 issues there!
