Nice hotel, but get breakfast elsewhere

The location was quiet. The room was clean. Everything worked.

The breakfast was the most pathetic effort that I have seen in a while. No protein except light yogurt or peanut butter, not even any hard boiled eggs. No pastries or muffins either. I had to buy breakfast because I can't eat carbs for breakfast. I have gotten consistently better breakfasts at cheaper hotels.

My stay was wonderful.

Location was great. I did some shopping while I was there. We ate out every night.

There was only one problem. I had room 124 the mattress had a puff in it and the left side was a little uncomfortable. Other wise everything was great.

Hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was basic, but good. Pool area was clean.

I didn't like the fact that at 3 pm check in time the first night's stay was authorized on my cc and then when I checked in, the entire amount for my stay was authorized plus another $50 for incidentals. I understand the $50, but I think authorizing one night plus the whole cost of my stay is excessive. I have stayed in many different chain hotels and have never had what amounted to an extra $285 authorized on my card. As much as I liked the hotel and its location, this may very well be a reason why I don't stay here again. Adding some additional fruit options to the breakfast would be nice.

Disappointing especially for breakfast and this hotel was the most expensive of our 7 days away.

We had breakfast in a Hampton Inn the night before and the difference in the breakfast was so much better in the offerings and in the service at breakfast. My wife drinks tea for breakfast and there was no tea - and the answers from the staff were terse and not very helpful. Breakfast was supposed to be until 10 AM. We got down around 9:30 and they were out of some things. We were told by the staff we were late and it was all gone. Those working the breakfast line up were not helpful at all.

Overall not impressed with this hotel for the price

Right off the highway

The room smelled like pee/ wet dog, there were ants in the bathroom, shower head hissed when turned on, staff was not friendly, breakfast had not much to offer, coffee tasted burnt. All around not good!

perfect and comfortable end to a great NC trip

beautiful place, comfy bed. the lady at desk gave us great advice on dinner options. on leaving the next morning before the breakfast was put out another employee gave us bagels to take with us !!

Breakfast. Waffles, cereals, oatmeal, yogurts w toppings, muffins/bagels/bread, fruits, juices, and coffee. The breakfast area kept clean.

Noise from 1st floor common/lobby area, we were right at top of stairs-room 212. Did quite down at reasonable time. No freezer in the refrigerator.

One of my favorite places!

One of my favorites. The whole place appears new and stylish, it is immaculately clean, and the staff are wonderful. Rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. It’s close to downtown, yet very quiet. And an excellent value..

It was great! The hotel was good and New Bern was wonderful

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The continental breakfast was just that. Nothing fancy but enough to get your day started. The location was great - near lots of shopping and places to eat. Travel to the historic area of New Bern was very easy from the hotel.

While I was not expecting a great big breakfast buffet, some fresh fruit, like apples or bananas, would have been nice. The location was a little tough to access - in that I ended up having to make a u-turn most days/nights when coming back to the hotel. I know the hotel has no control over the roads, it's just something to note, especially if you are a timid driver.

Breakfast was disappointing- all sugared cereals, toast, waffles. Having hard boiled eggs or other protein would be much appreciated. Cleaning staff were great! Room was clean and comfortable.
