Bright and modern
The coffee pots in the hall by the elevators were ok, but there weren’t any in the dining room for breakfast.

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. Easy to get to off of IS 81.
The bathroom could use an upgrade. The door wouldn't shut. Had to flush toilet twice, and it felt like you were sitting on the floor when you used it.

Checked in, went to rooms. I had a room, my mother had a room. The hallways stunk, the elevators are at the ends of very long hallways! Entered my room, it had an odor. My mom entered her room. The carpet was soaked and the room reeked of mold! She went down to clerk to get another room and the front desk clerk was so rude. Told her she'd be on a different floor. My mother is elderly and wanted to stay close by me. She acted like it was such an inconvenience for her to relocate my 82 year old mother, especially to not want to stay in a room that was wet, gross and stunk of mold. She did switch her room and kept her on the same floor but was so rude about it. A couple key strokes to rectify the problem. It's not like she had to move my mother. At midnight I was woken by a gang of men outside my window in the parking lot drunk, partying and smoking having a hoot. They were workers, like road workers or linemen that stay at the hotel. They were so loud and obnoxious! To me
it was so rude. Outside laughing loud, being ridiculous on a Thursday night and not 1 hotel employee go out to tell them to be quiet or go to an open parking lot area, not right outside the windows. I had my 3 kids sleeping. Thank God I had a fan I turned on high to drown them out. Breakfast was total crap. They advertise breakfast and it's not continental. I have no problem with that, however it's easy to assume it was continental from the website. Total disappointment. I would never recommend and I honestly feel I should be comped something for such the inconveniences. I will not stay at a Holiday Inn anytime soon. Go with Courtyards or Hampton Inns!
Everything!

Too remote. Too many truckers. Didn’t even go into hotel due toe to the crowded parking lot.
Parking area. Not family friendly environment.

The room was clean, the staff was helpful and courteous. The beds were comfortable.
My only complaint was the air conditioner in our room was extremely loud and didn't cool the room. We didn't complain because we weren't going to be spending very much time in the room. I am a light sleeper and I was constantly being woken up as the unit cut on off throughout the night. It was horrible but overall the room was clean and comfortable.

The property was clean and the location was good. The town of Staunton is very nice.
we booked two queen beds. with a golf course view. When we arrived we were told that Booking.com made a mistake and booked a King room facing the highway. Were given an uncomfortable pull out sofa. The hotel did discount the room $30. Unfortunately, the hotel was sold out and we couldn’t change rooms.

the only thing that was not great was the cheese whiz they put on the omelette. it was bad. real cheese or no cheese would be appreciated if they are charging for breakfast.

The staff was very kind and was able to allow my family and friend to check in early. It was so nice because we had been driving on the road for 30+ hours.

lovely hotel. rooms were decorated really nice.
I had 2 beds and the first bed I got in was a dirty spot on the sheet. I thought maybe a stain. After about 5 minutes smelled bad body odor on sheet.
Switch to other bed it was fine. . The rest of place was clean. Check in guy was so very nice. Check out lady didn’t seem she wanted to speak. Breakfast was cereal and danish. They let the lady off on Monday. Asked for water she seemed like it bothered her.

Front desk at check in was wonderful

Bar and restaurant were closed
The I had difficulty checking in because the credit card reader’s rap function did not work. In keeping with modern security recommendations I have my credit cards loading on my phone. Therefore I don’t need to carry my credit cards and do not know their numbers. Even 7 Eleven stores all have functional tap card readers. I certainly expect that a new IHG would be up-to-date.
The front desk staff I needed to understand that it is new technology I need to be understanding. It’s not new.

Staff was great, room was clean and there was plenty of parking
We had a room towards the highway and the traffic was loud during the night. The AC was busted in the room and we had a hard time controlling the temperature.
