Ok
We were given a smoking room, I did not request. Requested handicap considerations and approved on 1st floor but upon arrival given 3rd floor smoking. Explained I have asthma & smoke allergies, but nothing was done. Smoking room triggered my asthma. Next day I asked non smoking room to no avail. Stayed here before, no problems.

My recent stay at the Wyndham Super 8 in Harlingen was nothing short of abysmal. This property appears to be shockingly subpar compared to the Wyndham standards I am accustomed to. The entire ordeal was marred by the appalling condition of the hotel, poor service, and questionable tactics from the front desk staff.
From the moment I stepped in, the offensive odor hit me like a brick wall. A mixture of mildew and an undeniable skunk weed stench permeated the entire building, transforming what should be a welcome refuge into a sensory assault. The hotel seems to be aware of this issue, as evidenced by the fans aggressively blowing air up the staircases, but it did nothing to mask the pungent smell. The elevator, too, was no safe haven, reeking in a similar way.
Breakfast was equally disappointing. With a scarce selection of barely edible offerings, it was far from the appetizing start to the day one would expect from a Wyndham property.
However, the coup de grâce of this terrible experience was the downright deplorable treatment by the front desk staff regarding my partner's emotional support cat. Upon my arrival, the front desk clerk demanded access to inspect the cat personally. The cat hadn't even been in the room as we had just arrived, but we were asked to pay an immediate cleaning fee. Her attitude was not only unprofessional but also utterly disrespectful, leaving us feeling shaken and distraught.
Despite the fact that I hadn't yet agreed to these exorbitant fees, the clerk charged hundreds of dollars on my card and demanded additional cash. Refusing to sign the paperwork, I am left with the unpleasant task of disputing all these charges.
To conclude, the Wyndham Super 8 in Harlingen falls spectacularly short of the mark. Between the offensive smells, poor food quality, and atrocious customer service, it's an experience I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. Avoid at all costs if possible.

Comfortable bed, able to sit outside, good location for shops and restaurants.
Confusion over cost over card charges. Confusion over double charge. We were going to stay 3 nights but checked out after one night. Day we left very helpful female member of staff explained what had happened and sorted out monies back to us.

central location in RGV
breakfast was pretty limited. coffee, but no tea. waffles, toast, packaged donuts. no fruit or cereal

quiet and clean
They need to spruce up their lobby/dining room. it could be really nice if they spent some money improving it.
also, I specifically reserved a king room for myself, daughter & grandchild but they gave me a queen..needless to say it was an extremely tight fit.

The location and price
The bed was as hard as the floor, the water smelled like lead, and there was a few baby roaches

When we checked in the room was nice & cold. Room was also quite clean.
The location of the room was perfect, nice and quiet.
I feel however, bathroom could use some slight improvements. There were some cracks on walls, bathroom sink a little to low.
We were attending a 50th class reunion & were in & out during our stay but while we were in, TV was constantly going out or freezing up.
4.0
despite being right on the expressway, zero traffic noise. comfortable, easy access to thoroughfares and very well trained.
very few travelers on Sunday night and there as no need to put directly under another patron. Also, you need more usable Grab Bars in your showers.
Also, provide your cleaning crews a place other than the lobby for their lunch break.

My experience with my family was horrible. The only thing easy access to the freeway.
First off the hotel was very disgusting not cleaned. They have roaches & pubic hairs all over the restroom floor with a weird old smell when you walk in the room. The breakfast they carry isn’t breakfast. Not even close to Hilton’s simple basic breakfast.

Close to family
The hotel is old from the inside, needs to be remodeled the room was to small and smelled. The mattress are old u can feel it right away.

The swimming pool was relaxing and the lady at the front desk was very nice.
The hotel manager, she seemed to be, was very loud and rude. Questioned me about asking for towels for the pool. The room smelled like mold, mildew and old standing water. I even sprayed my own disinfectant nothing helped. Breakfast only had waffles, coffee & capri sun drink pouches.

I did not have breakfast. The place was quiet, peaceful and well LED lighted at night. There was plentiful ice when needed. AC was running cold as desired.
Single entrance on the freeway frontage road. Soap and shampoo are in dispensers attached to the wall. The Municipal water has some peculiar smell and taste. It took a while for the magnetic card to work properly.

Nothing just the price
The place had bad odor. I asked for a room closer to the front as I have s bad knee and I couldn't get one according to them although I book 2 weeks or more in advance. Stayed there before didn't like it too much then so i tried again and it wasn't good.
