The food is good but the hotel is undergoing massive reconstruction which forces the eating area into a small crowded rather unpleasant space.
Considering the price we paid, the fact that the lobby was unusable as was the main entrance and the noise in the downstairs level was unbearable made it ridiculous to pay that much money. Also when we try to use the internet it said that it was a risky connection and it are computers wouldn't let it go and open it. We tried to make a phone call on one of the phones in the buttons were unlocked. We had to find out the numbers on the next phone. We asked to have the day been made up and they didn't do it. We had to do it ourselves.

location of hotel is convenient
sofa bed terrible, carpets in hallway need to be replaced.

It’s in a great location
The sofa bed was very uncomfortably and looked dirty. We complained and were moved. Same issue in the second room.
It was priced like a 5 star hotel but had 2 star appeal.

The breakfast was nice and everyone was friendly and polite. While I waited for my husband to get our car in the morning one of the staff approached me to ask if I wanted a water, which was nice. Also, they kept the front door locked at all times so it felt safe.
Parking is not included and is not free. We didn't know this. I don't know if I didn't see it in the listing or not. They said they had valet parking but it was $40 a night! We parked two blocks away in a garage and it was $15. We got there too late at night to look for street parking, but that you have to pay for as well. I just think $40 a night is too expensive for parking.

Potentially a nice place. Needs upgrades. But I guess there working on that.
Lots of updates to be done. Didn’t realize that the bar restaurant was not affiliated with hotel. A little inconvenient.

Complimentary breakfast; comfy bed
Only one elevator worked and the stairs were under construction so it was a really long wait waiting for the elevator. The bathrooms could be a little cleaner. Could use a lot of updates too. Fridge was barely cold.

Perfect location to Historic District of Savannah Downtown
Great accommodations for the number of people who were traveling with me
Great breakfast
Great pool area
Only one Elevator was working the week of the Fourth of July! That was so inconvenient especially with the number of guests staying there. It was hot in there as well as the hallway to the room
4.0
Breakfast was good.
Lobby looked updated and clean
Hallway on room floor was not a/c and carpet needed replacing.
The room needed updating especially bathroom.
Mirror was tarnished, bathtub mold was apparent, toilet paper holder would not stay on the wall. The bathroom smelled like past guest had been smoking in there. Carpet in room smelled like dog had been in the room.
Parking should not cost additional $40.
This hotel did not meet my expectations for a Marriot.

Staff was nice
One elevator was broken, hotel condition was tired and room was worn, wallpaper was stapled in the bathroom, sofa bed was not in good condition and room was noisy

The breakfast was good, it was busier than I thought. It was hard to find a place to sit each morning. That's not a problem, necessarily just something I wasn't expecting.
The staff was so helpful, allowing us to extend our time so that I could take a business call was very appreciated. They were very helpful the whole time we were there. We really appreciated that.
We are hoping to taste some peach jam at breakfast, because we wouldn't be able to buy any to take home because we did carry-on luggage. Just a little thing.
The room also hadn't been cleaned well. There was a lot of hair in the bathtub on the shampoo dispenser from the previous tenants. We also found a pair of socks in the drawer and a glass case that have been left sitting on the counter. Room also was extremely musty like there had been some water damage that needed to be taken care of.
Unfortunately, the pool was closed by the health department while we were there. Since we didn't have time to go to the beach, we were hoping to use the pool each day, so that was a bit disappointing.

Love the location! Perfect for parents of SCAD students!!!

The front desk staff and the breakfast staff were so friendly and nice. We felt very welcomed.
The room had an odor and the shower was very dirty and gross. There was mold all around and on the silver metal shelf. Both shower heads were so gross. The tallest shower head was covered in pink mildew. The bed was very uncomfortable and I only got 3-4 hours of sleep. It was not worth what we paid. I would not stay here again.

Breakfast was okay. Loved the sent of the lobby. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Location couldn't be beat.
Coffee was put up after breakfast, thought coffee was out all day. Would be nice to get a water or cookie upon entry. Was is the parking so ridiculously expensive?

The location was fantastic.
The room was disgustingly filthy. I don’t ever leave reviews but this is necessary. It smelled awful. Stained bedding that smelled like vomit, dead bugs on the side tables, dirty shower and toilets, crumbs on the floor, stained carpets, a children’s Tylenol medication dispenser cup on the floor. Housekeeping didn’t come once while we stayed. The sleeper sofa was horrible. Nothing but springs. Parking was valet only which is fine, but only one person working it and each time it took a minimum of 10-15 minutes to get our car. Which isn’t fun with 3 young kids.

Room - bed was comfortable and room layout very accommodating. Due to location in historic district, you can walk to the squares and many sites you would want to visit in Savannah. They have a lot of great choices for breakfast.
I’ve stayed at this property numerous times. I was very disappointed at how much the prices at this hotel have gone up - both the room rate and valet parking rate have gone up significantly since the last time I stayed there a couple years ago.

Close location to Broughton St and City Market
Rooms are a little dated as of March 2024

The toilet was in a separate from the shower.
Stained dirty carpet and couch. Toilet tough to flush. Customer service poor
4.0
•Close proximity to many places/ restaurants
• The bed was very comfortable
• Room size was adequate
• Toasted had a great atmosphere with a ton of whiskey selections
• Hot coffee with a stocked bar in the lobby
•The hotel was extremely dingy feeling. It is dated as well but did not feel very clean! Stained carpet everywhere, hair on our bathroom floor and shower, sticky carpet, elevator with trash/finger prints all over the walls. Yuck!
• The sofa was missing a large cushion and had an odor
• The bed was very wrinkly! To the point I feared if the sheets had been changed
• Staff was very into themselves. Always felt like I had to interrupt a conversation at the counter to get service. Then, no one was very friendly. (except the lady at the tour site desk, she was smiling and said hello every day)
• Parking fee is ridiculous given the amount of low cost parking garages right in the area

Jó helyen van a városban, minden látnivaló közel van hozzá. A személyzet nagyon kedves. A reggeli is megfelelő. A parkolás szuper.
4 személyre foglaltuk a szobát, de csak két személynek volt megágyazva. Magunknak kellett a kanapét alhatóvá tenni. Törülköző és ágynemű is kevés volt, de kérésre kaptunk. A kanapéágy nem tűnt valami túl tisztának.

Super comfortable room, great location, good breakfast, decent gym and friendly staff!
Breakfast got extremely crowded. I noticed a lot of people couldn’t find a place to sit.

Very close to the downtown; decent breakfast
It's only valet parking; the are no elevators to the garage (underground) but you will have access to the car anytime

Breakfast and staff were great!
There was no supervisory staff working the holiday weekend. Staff were not empowered to make any decisions. My sisters room had ants and it took additional request for them to be moved, and when they were. My nephew was still bitten.

Location was central to all we had planned. Walkable. Uber was quick. Good selection of toiletries, snacks, meds in lobby. Friendly staff. Clean lobby bathroom with complimentary women’s items.
Property needs to be updated. Torn couch cushions in lobby. Rooms need updating. Lighting is too dim in the bathrooms. Only one hook for bath towels. Bathroom shelf slants to where items fall off. You can hear loud banging from the other rooms (likely plumbing). No need to set an alarm.

We liked the location! We liked the size of the room and that it had 1.5 baths.
The room that was first given to us had a horrible smell of a wet dog!! The carpet was soo old and damaged from a dog! I went to the front desk and they gave us another room that was much better. It was hard to control the air. We had our door propped open to get cool air. The hotel could be awesome if it was total renovated!!
5.0
Large clean room. Breakfast similar to other hotels. Within walking distance from riverfront.
Expensive parking garage and 2 small dents on rear passdnger panel.

The location was good. The staff were friendly and I think under the circumstances did the best they could.
We were informed we were being charged for two rooms even though no proof that we requested two. We booked through a third party who went to bat on our behalf asking for a confirmation number to that effect, which there was none. An unhappy way to spend the first three hours of our holiday sorting this error out. We first waited for over an hour in our car for the required valet parking to take care of our car. This was a real pain we had to repeat every time we wanted to use our car. Extremely time consuming. Housekeeping not leaving any towels for us was also disappointing. I would not recommend staying at this hotel. I mean, come on Marriott. This hotel needs a whole lot of work! Old, very worn and understaffed. I felt like my car was in jail!
