An OK stay

The bed was the best part

It was lowkey dirty. Grabbed a new towel and had hair on it… our ice bucket also had some hairs in it and the bath tub had rust on it…

Since I came to to US back in the late 80´s I have experienced Hilton´s, Sheraton´s, and Marriot´s brand domestic and international. I finally decided to stay loyal to Marriott dueto their service, accommodations consistency, regardless if you are in the US or abroad. And, as a travel agent myself, I only reccommend Marriot to my clients; "you pay a little more, but you are guarateed a service and accommodation that will meet and or exceed your expectations". And from me as a travel agent, a piece of mind. However, was a little suprised with the lack of accommodation consistency that I have been used all these years as a loyal patron for Marriott International brand. I understand that Sonesta may be the "low budget" property for Marriott?, and like I like I said, I booked theis property knowing that. I want to experience the this brand before I reccommend to my clients. I stayed at this property when was Marriott Courtyard, and I enjoyed very much.

It was a good stay because of the staff and we really liked the lobby.

Too many furniture in the room. It could have been a chair instead of the sofa in the room. Bathroom did not have cold water, hot water only, which we told the reception about.

It was such a HORRIBLE stay and we were not able to rest & relax as we planned to.

Location

Sheets, bathrooms, carpet were all below standard in cleanliness. Worst of all, AFTER we had checked in, we found a flyer in the room saying that we had to vacate our room the next day for 2 hours because they had to clean the carpet, and another 2 hours for it to dry completely unless we don’t mind walking in a damp carpet. That’s 4 hours that we already paid for taken away from us. And yet when we were trying to check in an hour early, they were charging us $30 extra. They are rated 4 star- totally WRONG. WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

Bed bugs - stay away!!

Nothing.

Hotel seemed cleaned but woke up with multiple bites on our hands, feet, back and head… No one even said sorry or apologized but they changed our room the next day without any issues. Also there were some stuff on the coach looked like either mucus or some other disguising thing so - No I’d definitely not recommend this place.

I feel completely cheated by this hotel and Booking.com for supporting this hotel.

There was NOTHING I liked about this hotel. Grossly overpriced and deceptively advertised. Our "ocean view" was a building under construction blocking the ocean. Our "large spacious room" was a closet cheaply furnished and very thin walls. We couldnt sleep a wink because of the loud cars driving by the hotel.

It was overall good the bed was very comfortable.

The staff was extremely kind and super friendly and even allowed us to have an early check in.

Honestly what threw me off was when I was messing with the curtains I found a big bug. I don’t know if it was a cricket or some kind of like roach, but I didn’t want to freak my husband out and cause a scene so I just quietly and slowly Caught it and put it in my Gatorade bottle and tossed it in the trash. Also the shower floor had black stains all over the tub and we just decided it’s best to not shower there.

I wasn't really in my room that much, just for sleeping and getting ready in the morning. I liked that there is a small wet bar in the room with a coffee maker and fridge. Lots of outlets in the room.

The walls were pretty thin, and I could hear someone snoring next door. Outside noises could be heard at all times too, and the hotel is right next to a major expressway, so don't expect a quiet relaxing stay. There was blood stain or some red splatter on the shower curtain, which grossed me out. I encountered a very drunk gentleman in the parking lot, which isn't the hotel's fault, but would have thought that being in the business district would have minimized those kinds of experiences. They did not clean my room or replace anything at all during my stay.

There is no restaurant or breakfast and because the location is not around a shopping center you need to get a car or order delivery in order to eat a good breakfast. They have machines and a little stand with basic stuff
