No se aclaraba que se debía pagar aparte por el estacionamiento. El costo es de USD 53 la noche. El baño de la habitación necesita una remodelación. En la recepción solo hablaban inglés y decían que hablaban también español. En Estados Unidos el español es el idioma extranjero más hablado.

It is as pictured. Good for the price and clean

Everything is quite new and clean. Has additional facilities like a gym and pool if you want to use it. There is also a cafe as part of the building which is a nice convenience.

The staff cannot assign a type of bed you want (top or bottom bunk). There was also an issue with the payment and the staff recognising that I had already paid online through booking.com. This was resolved though. If you walk, it is up a slight hill but still close enough to what you need by bike (bike station about 150m away). The beds are also quite squeaky when moving around

Good stay in DC.

Staff were really friendly, and the rooms were modern and comfortable. The location was also really good, very close to Dupont Circle.

The rooms were clean, but I feel like it could have been cleaner. Also, it was a bit pricey, but that's normal for DC I guess.

Better options nearby especially if you don't need in-out parking.

Easy access to public transit nearby. Attentive staff!

They do have in-out parking but it's expensive and you need to be quite skillful to avoid banging up your car in the tight spaces. If you have a very small car, no problem. Low headroom. If I had brought my minivan with the kayak rack, I would have been out of luck. Our room (210) needed one (or two) extra lamps and one more chair to be comfortable. The bedside lamp on one side was broken. There was no means of making coffee of tea in the room. At the bar, I paid $7 for a tea bag at 4 PM as the cafe was closed. They threw in hot water and a cup for free.

Horrible

The vibe, and atmosphere was quite nice but the check in in time was horrendous especially for the fact that our plan landed at 6am and we requested for at least an early check in

The staff at the reception were EXTREMELY rude and they kicked my 16 year old sister out of my room and tried to kick her out of the hotel too. She was there because she has travelled with us and had to wait to be picked up. The staff were so unfriendly and so rude. We just requested that they let her wait with us for a few hours but they threatened me by saying they will cancel my entire booking and we would have to find another place. There was also not soaps or hand washed in the toilets.

A nice hotel in a residential area near to the metro. The pool was impressive!

Bar seemed to close early. No toiletries provided in the rooms.

Excellent séjour

Dortoir particulièrement confortable, avec rideau et intimité parfaite. Propre également (même si cela dépend également de vos partenaires de chambre) Belle vue sur Washington et accessible rapidement depuis la station Dupont Circle (même s’il y a un peu de marche en montée) Globalement un bon rapport qualité/prix

Great location, reasonable price, lacking ammenities to be amazing

Clean, loved the privacy afforded to each bunk

I appreciate the amenities list doesn’t list a fridge in the dorm but the photos do and I think when catering to all budgets a fridge would have been appreciated, especially in the interest of saving food wastage from large portion sizes. Similarly with no microwave being available. The ice machine on level 8 doesn’t work

Quiet, restful, and with plenty of resources!

--Location was GREAT! --I was so grateful that you accommodated the bottom bunk request! I know that it depended on other factors, but I was still very grateful. --Set-up downstairs for reading/writing while roommates were sleeping was EXCELLENT. Best of any hostel I've been in.

The only thing that made th e stay difficult was getting parking. I wish I had just parked down the street from the beginning. After reading online that there was an attached parking garage, I circled 2x and called the hostel. No one answered, and I ended up having to move on to the timed event I was in DC for. I emailed the hostel from the venue and did not hear back. I ended up circling the hostel 2x more times in the dark, this time on the phone with the front desk. It ended up just being best to go down the street.

I don't like that place.

Don't recommend and suggest a hotel like this

There were bugs in bed, bad smell of smokes ,weeds..it was very difficult for me to spend even a single hour there.

Great location and great staff

Location was perfect, lots of food places nearby, 10 min walk to the subway station and about a 30 min walk to the White House. Staff were very friendly

Wifi didn’t reach to my floor (9th floor) which was pretty annoying being low on data

Good facility(nice interior, kind staff)

Location is so nice to reach every tourist destination by city bus. There was a Walgreen nearby, so I was able to buy whatever I needed.

This is not a problem with the accommodation, but the snoring noise of my fellow guests was very loud. I couldn't sleep well during 5 days.

Good value for money (dorm). But uncomfortable policies.

1. I liked the curtains because they provided privacy. The staff, especially the female ones, were very nice. 2. They responded promptly: when the A.C. went bad, making clanking noise during the first night I was at the dorm, the technician came almost immediately after I told the staff. Though it was not fixed that day, they later brought an A.C. to regulate the room temperature. 3. The location is great and not too far from restaurants.

I sponsored myself to a 4-day conference and had to be economical, so I stayed at the dorm. There are a few things I didn't like: 1. The hotel didn't indicate there would be no refrigerator in the dorm, even though the picture posted on the website had a fridge. I was quite disappointed to find that out. 2. On the third day of my stay, the only Microwave downstairs was taken away. That was spontaneous and even more disappointing as I had to trash the food I packed from a restaurant. 3. I didn't expect that a lady would join I and the guys in my room. It was unexpected and I think the dorms should be gendered. Better still, these info should be provided on the website. 4. The lighting in the room is very low, and I think purposely made only for sleeping. I had to use my phone light when I wanted to iron my clothes at night, for example.

Alojamiento super recomendado para relajarse y descansar luego de recorrer la ciudad todo el día.

El hostel superó mis expectativas. Las habitaciones y zonas comunes eran muy amplias y agradables. El personal fue muy amable y siempre estuvo dispuesto a ayudar. Cuenta con microondas. Me permitieron dejar mis valijas luego del check out. Altamente recomendado.

Hay que caminar algunas cuadras para llegar a las zonas de interés de la ciudad o a las paradas de subte.

Très bel hôtel mais peut être pas pour des voyageurs solos qui souhaitent rencontrer d’autres personnes

Possible d’accéder au attractions touristiques à pied (30mn) ou métro à proximité, la vue du dortoir et la décoration de l’hôtel

Le manque d’une cuisine accessible à tous, le non respect d’autres voyageurs et les femmes de ménages qui n’ont pas d’horaire précis et qui peuvent gêner le sommeil (8h)

Really nice hotel with cheaper options

Le Generator était bien différent des auberges que j'ai pu visiter car c'est en réalité un hôtel. Vous avez la même organisation et donc le même "standing" qu'un hôtel mais vous partager simplement une chambre avec 3 personnes. Cela était très appréciable également car le ménage est réalisé une fois par jour. Propreté au top, rideau qui permettent l'intimité.

Le seul bémol est qu'il n'y a aucun espace de cuisine/salle de repas. Donc pas vraiment de possibilité de ramener de la nourriture extérieure sauf en livraison sur les tables du hall. Certaines photos de l'annonce ne sont également pas à jour.

Muy cómodas las instalaciones y el personal. En especial Johanna e Ivonne me ayudaron mucho con recomendaciones. Sin dudas volveria.

Tal vez al ser un “hostel”porque tiene calidad de hotel . Le faltaría una heladera / cocina para guardar las cosas. Pero tiene inclusive un microondas y si necesitas algún plato o cubiertos para comer te prestan en el bufett.

Faux-glam hostel with broken systems that gave away my bed

Due to a system error between Booking and the hotel. I clearly booked for 2 days as indicated in my receipt but I was auto-checked out in 1 day without my knowledge. I went to access my room on the second day and my key didnt work. I asked for my key to be fixed and it eventually was. I said I hope you didnt give my bed away. They said don't worry. I went up and found sure enough there is an issue with the system/staff as they had given my bed to someone else and it was an awkward encounter. After going back down I was finally given a new bed after waiting around and I was quite tired by then. In the morning I was assured I only had to pay for one night, I said fine. But then I saw my receipt was for 2 nights. The person at the desk was not able to do anything and advised I contact the manager. There was definitely a system issue but the staff seemed to not be able to provide accurate info either. What a nightmare!
