Great customer service. You can text staff if you need anything. Beautiful rooms & property.
Needs more handicapped parking spaces near main lobby.

It was good.

The rooms in the main building were really nice and quiet, comfy beds and stylish deco.
Great views from the lobby bar.
We only stayed one night so did not get to see everything.

close to where we were visiting
it seemed empty and out of all the rooms they could have given us…we got one with a few of the parking lot with equipment in it. so sad. they are part of a property with a water park. I paid another $75 for 3 to use it for half a day. that was ridiculous.

We enjoyed the villa at the grand Geneva. There was plenty of space for all of us. We had a beautiful time.
We had an issue with no hot water in our first villa but was completely accommodated by the manager Barbara and she was amazing

Free yoga and circuit classes. Not too busy in the spa on the weekdays.
Igloo pod was not heated enough.

There was a weird smell in our room. Like leather polish. Also we kept getting knocks at the door from drunk people a few doors down. And house keeping knocked at our door at 8:45am. Needless to say we didn’t sleep well

Staff is very friendly. Facility is reasonably good.
Not sure if winter is the greatest time to visit. If you have young kids, may be staying in Timber Ridge and accept a little lower quality room would make more sense that driving or taking trolly to the water park. I have a 7- & 9-year-old, we took them to sledding, this area is way unsecured and there is a sign that you sled on your own risk, my 7yo fell off a cliff into woods and had his cloth cut, luckily wasn't hurt. Some parent helped me to get him from approximately 3 feet down.
We arrived at 1 pm but our room wasn't ready until 4:30 pm. They gave us some coupons to get coffee or ice cream, so that was nice of them. The staff in the hotel coffee shop seemed unhappy and unwelcoming.
If you sleep late, you miss the morning/early afternoon room service, and you'll have to wait until late afternoon / early evening after they take care of all other rooms for new checking in guests.
We booked a lakeview room for some extra charge, but it ended up being a frozen lakeview, so you can't really say where the lake is or the land. I guess this resort will be better off in summer.

Prices extremely high around holidays- 3 x amount of when we booked. It changed without us realizing it.

The hotel was clean and met my expectations.
We went there for a baby moon I do not recommend this hotel for a relaxing getaway for people without kids. I found the trip to be more stressful because the hotel was a playground for children and teenagers. There were children running around in the lobby bar. My husband and I understood that this is a shared space but when we went to go to the other bar to get some peace (club envy) there were children running around in that bar as well. Bars should not be spaces for children and we understood why they were in the lobby bar but some spaces should be for adults only. The fun did not stop there were teenagers sledding down the indoor stairs. To top off the night I was up until 2 in the morning because there were kids coming in and out of rooms with doors slamming. While I understand the hotel is kid friendly for adults staying there for other reasons it was not a good experience.

I went to Grand Geneva Hotel for the Christmas weekend, and it was an amazing surprise! It exceeded my expectations in terms of decoration, Christmas activities for kids, live music at the bar on the 24th and very good food - both in the special dinner and also during breakfast.
Rooms are outdated and beds are very small. I know they have plans to update the rooms so hopefully this will happen soon so the entire experience can be awesome.

Loved the decorations.
Went with my daughter and 2 year old and 4 year old Grand daughters. We all had a great time.
We liked everything.
If there is anything I can think of is, maybe rooms and activities for the kids could be less expensive.

The meal we had at the Chop House was amazing!
When we first arrived the room we were given was terrible! The view was that of the dog waste station. Unacceptable for anyone to stay in that room, especially for our anniversary! We were able to get our room changed to a very nice one with a beautiful view. Your reservation specialist was very accommodating and helpful.
