Staff very friendly and beds very comfortable.
Rooms were quite narrow and not enough electrical outlets.

Cheap and easy check in. Took less than 3 minutes.
We found bugs in the bathroom immediately when we checked in. It was almost midnight so we weren't trying to switch rooms. I killed them and we went to bed. Train runs right next to the hotel so that was loud throughout the night. At some point between midnight and 8am someone put a white x on my drivers side window. Not sure what that was about but no other cars had one. Seems like my daughter and I that were traveling alone were being targeted. We left by 9am. I definitely did not feel safe and would not stay there again.

Friendly staff, comfortable bed, clean and fresh linens, towels and pillows. Great air conditioner. C
Loud noise from trucks in middle of night. I believe this was a random guest and not from traffic.

I liked that the room was very clean. I also liked the location and price. Vanhorn is the Bermuda triangle of sleepiness, had to stop and rest.
Since it was an unplanned trip, we didn't do a good job packing shampoo and stuff. Expected to bathe but it was very disappointing that there was only a little bar of soap, for three adults!! No shampoo,no conditioner and it was not nice taking the almost invisible bar from the restroom to the sink to wash our hands.

it was a true motel in that I parked in front of my room and only had to move my bags a few feet.
Pets are allowed
The T.V. was only basic cable and the reception was poor, however the screen was large.

I liked the pet policy
The bedsheets were stained and there wasn't a fitted sheet for a bed. The staff brought me a new one, but it too was stained and didn't cover the whole mattress. The mattress protector also didn't fit the mattress or want to stay in place at all when I was trying to replace the original sheet.
My room had an adjoining door to the room next door. The door didn't have any sort of sweep at the base and air pushed in each time they went in/out. Also, their voices traveled through the door. The people weren't being loud, it was just that poorly insulated.
The train, although a couple blocks away, sounds like it's in the room when it's passing by multiple times a night.

Access was convenient.
There was no breakfast and your site said there was. We drove way up the Main Street to find a restaurant that was open.
