The only thing nice about this property was that it was just outside of downtown Gettysburg, like ten minutes and the drive to and from downtown was beautiful sight seeing.
False adversiting! There is no active sport complex on the grounds-it was completely shutdown/rundown for it looked like years! The room was very outdated, hairdryer looked like it was from the 90s, the carpet in the room and hallways were absolutely nasty/stained and smelled. The AC unit in our room was very outdated and didnt keep the room cold enough on high. The plug for the AC unit had a whole roll of eletrical tape on the wires. The bathroom was "clean" but the toilet seat wobbled and moved when you sat down, the shower had no slip grib cover on the floor inside the shower/tub, my husband almost fell inside. The swimming pool looks nothing like the fancy photos that are on the website. The "arcade" in the hotel smelled, flithy and bare. It seems like the very front of the hotel was the only thing updated and yet all guest were directed to tge very back were it was dingy, outdated and dirty. Price was fair for the rooms but not the price with false adversitment!

The rates were good.
The hotel was basically abandoned. most of the facility was shut down. The “sports complex with laser tag and a “huge arcade” was closed and looked like it hasn’t been open for years. The water was turned off the morning we were checking out. No-one told us they were turning it off. we were literally trying to get ourselves and 3 children bathed and dressed to leave when the water was turned off. Not a drop of water to even flush the toilet was available. we called the front desk multiple times, but no one answered. when they finally called back about 30 minutes later they acted shocked and said they would “look into it”. come to find out they had a plumber there and has turned the water off without telling us. there were literally like two other people in the whole hotel you’d think they could’ve given us a heads up.

I liked that they had an indoor pool and the staff I met were very friendly. The wifi was good. The main lobby was very elegant. The breakfast was really good, food was 10/10.
I stayed here a few years ago and i remember it being a 5 star experience but now it’s a little sad. All the foliage by the pool was removed. There was like no other guests. Barely any staff, I had to hunt for the breakfast and when I did find it I was the only one there besides the lady that made it. You could tell the place was amazing in the hayday but now it’s not really a destination. I feel like if the quality went down so should the price, I could’ve stayed somewhere in the $80-$90 range and had the same results.

Food was very good. Staff very friendly. Pool area clean.
Rugs needed replaced. Room renovated but needed finishing touches. Outside needed cleaned and plantings. Room was empty and I had to wait until a certain time to get in and was told the "room was ready" but hadn't been stayed in.
3.3
Close to the sites we wanted to see
Very very unkept and dirty . Rundown

roomy and quiet. Hotel worker went out of his way to get us ice.
restaurant and pool were closed. had to step over construction worker to get to the front desk. There were no other guests visible.

The continental breakfast was very good and more than I was expecting.

not much. it was off the beaten track. confusing to get to. no breakfast lounge or restaurant like it said on the website. there was like 2 other guests staying there.

The pool and the friendly staff. Penny and Cathy were very helpful and accommodating with our stay. The breakfast was good. The location. Stayed here in April 2022 will be back in April of 2023 for the Gettysburg half marathon.
The construction and the keys for the outside doors didn't work. The gym equipment is old and doesn't work. Did not like that the room was not cleaned and did not have fresh towels. We stayed 3 days. The shower and bed were all new. We last stayed here in April of 2022.

Breakfast
No shower curtain, no towels, construction workers everywhere, chemical smells, metal shards in pool, chunks of concrete in pool, temperature of pool is that os a jacuzzi causing burns on my kids

Clean, comfortable with friendly staff.
Property is currently undergoing extensive renovations.

this hotel is under massive renovations. photos are deceiving and maybe the place was once nice but today it is less than to be desired. my door jam was broken and the facility was not clean. there were no mattress covers just a fitted sheet. overpriced for the current state of repairs needed.
3.3
The hotel was close to the Gettysburg College which was why we were there . Also both front desk staff workers were very lovely and helpful.
The room could have been updated, dark stains in shower drop ceiling tiles , which should be easy fix, old furniture in room, there was renovations going on in lobby so maybe room updates will be next.
3.3
It was close to where I needed to go.
The elevators and floors were dirty, the game room had stuff all over the floor, the store by the front desk closed 45 min before it was suppose to. The pool area was dirty.

convenient location, good for value, super friendly staff.
beds could use upgrading, sheets didn’t fit well, they were off by morning, pillows were flat. chair in my room had some sort of sauce on it. housekeepers obviously didn’t clean it.

Property grounds beautiful and impressive. Quiet. Pool was beautiful.
Back and forth to Aspire Hotel to check in. Pulling luggage cart up a steep inside hill in the hall very strenuous for 2 elderly ladies.

The whole hotel. It is perfect even as the renovations are being completed, just hope once they are complete that the hotel remains affordable. The lounge was awesome and the.food was excellent, only wish the lounge would have been open this past weekend but unfortunately it was not as we were told by the front desk lady at Aspire. Our room is perfect right beside the pool and easy accessibility with my walker.
The fact the lounge was closed both Saturday and Sunday.

Location
The hotel was run down

Staff was great. Facility showed signs of age or neglect or lack of investment. Potential though.
We had a patio room after night one. There was broken glass on it making it unusable. Believe glass was from construction.
3.3
Not one thing positive. Would give a zero rating if possible. Room was filthy service was terrible and continues to be. Our room was obviously not cleaned. Visibly soiled toilet seat, sheets not changed from previous people, chair had something splashed all over it, something gross on the side of the bed (vomit or IDK). There was paint chipping off of the walls and the ceiling tiles (drop ceiling) were warped and there were spaces where you could see above the ceiling. Despite two requests to talk with management over the weekend no response. Called this morning and requested again - lady at the desk says they don't know when their managers will come in but they'll ask them to call me (same response I've received for the past two attempts at reaching someone in charge). I asked if she has any managers at all she can call or text and she replied " that's not the way we work here everything comes through us at the front desk". She also offered to look at the room because they have an older building and "some people cannot tell the difference between aged and dirty". You cannot see the bottom of the pool and it's very poorly lit and smells funny and looks dirty. Despite the exquisite looking photo on the website the pool is a public health hazard. The parking lot is also very dimly lit and I nearly tripped on my way in in the dark because I couldn't see the curb by my car. The side doors were always found to be propped open by a metal device on the door - obviously meant for propping it open - and there was no key entry to the side door.

When we first arrived, the overall appearance of the hotel was very poor. We started to simply leave and look for another hotel. However once in the room everything was good.

Second stay and always pleased with everything. I like that it's in a very peaceful setting and they love our 145 # German Shepherd. Staff was extremely friendly and always helpful.
Nothing I didn't like. But facility is in process of upgrading everything. Didn't infringe on our stay. Must overlook the construction in some areas.
