About this apartment rental
Sleeps 11 only. (Baby cots on request)
Gorgeous 240 m2 5-bedroom art deco apartment in Ciboure on the hill of Bordagain. The apartment feels like a secluded house, as it is very spacious, has no other properties looking on to it and has exclusive and direct access to a 3500m2 garden.
The living room is 80 square meters, there is a large kitchen and dining area which have stunning views over the mountains. There is another 30m2 leaving room.
There are 5 bedrooms:
Bedroom 1 - double bed of 180cm.
Bedroom 3 - 2 x 90cms single beds NB: An extra "made up mattress bed" can be put on the floor in this bedroom therefore accommodating 3 people.
Bedroom 2 - double bed of 160cm.
Bedroom 4 - double bed of 160cm.
Bedroom 5 - 2 x 90cms single beds
Bedroom 1 - Ensuite (Shower)
Bedroom 2 - Ensuite with bath
Bedroom 3 - Ensuite (Shower)
Bedroom 4 - Share Bathroom
Bedroom 5 - Share Bathroom
3 Bedrooms have their own ensuite and toilet and the bedroom with the two single beds has a bath. The master bedroom has a large walk-in wardrobe which is not directly connected to the bedroom, its just across the hallway. 2 bedroom share another 1 bathroom (including toilets).
The apartment is very light, warm and beautifully decorated. There is a large terrace and outdoor dining area plus a lawn and garden for children to play in. The terrace faces south. There is a laundry downstairs with washing machine and dryer and off street parking for 2 or 3 cars.
Soccoa beach - 2 minutes away by car or 15 mins walk.
St Jean de Luz - 5 minutes away by car or 20 minutes walk.
Ciboure village - 2 mins by car or 5 minute walk.
Ciboure is a very charming seaside basque village.
The whole property is south facing so is bathed in sun all day, from morning to sunset. Please see the photos for more detailed descriptions.
We recommend having a car as this property is located on a hill and the walk down is fine, but going up is steep. The nearest supermarket is 3 minutes by car and the train station is a 25 minute walk uphill.
We are very particular about who rents the apartment as we have had some bad experiences with "younger" guests so please dont be offended if we ask you age. Minimum age for rental is 30 years old apart from accompanying children of course.
Our reviews are on the Homeaway.com site, but I have stopped the listing on this site so I have asked them to transfer them to VRBO, but here are a couple in the mean time.

Really Great Apartment!

"We were a party of 5 adults and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this stunning property. The apartment was very clean and tidy on arrival and it’s done to a very high standard, my wife just loved the interior! The view from the terrace is spectacular, loved the mountain view. The house is very comfortable and big enough so on a rainy day we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. There are plenty of beaches close by and it was great coming back to this place after a busy day of site seeing and eating, it’s like a secluded oasis away from the bustling beaches and busy French towns. Fantastic restaurants are close by, in particular Mattin which is a quick walk from the apartment, and at the port of Socoa there are some great restaurants too. All in all had a great holiday particularly because of the apartment. Highly recommended."

Vacation home of our dreams!
Date of Stay

"We had the pleasure of staying here for two weeks in June 2016. We had such a lovely time in this home which has everything a family needs to have a fantastic holiday. The apartment is just as in the photos, very light and airy, with lots of space. It does not feel like an apartment at all but a stand-alone house. The decoration is beautiful with a mixture of antiques and contemporary furniture. When the sun is out it comes streaming into the whole apartment. The terrace was amazing for drinks and sunbathing and we had many bbqs in the downstairs bbq area. The grass lawn was great for the kids to run about on too. It was such a plus having a television area for the kids so we could still relax without being distracted by the TV. The bedrooms are big and the linen being provided was very handy. The little town of Ciboure is just charming and there is a small market on Sundays. The beach of Ciboure is a 2-minute drive away and we always managed to find a park. The town of St Jean de Luz, is so pretty and full of activity. It can be hard finding a car park in St jean de Luz so we sometimes walked which took about 20 minutes but be warned it’s a hike going back up the hill, but had to work off all the delicious Basque food we were eating somehow! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this apartment as it’s of a very high standard with all modern conveniences which a lot of French summer rentals don’t have."
