A lovely Boutique Hotel in Monterrey - Highly Recommend

Thea was very friendly and welcoming at Reception. The location was very pretty with lovely garden views in the morning. There is no restaurant at the location, but Thea helped us with a Door Dash order to the room with recommendations too. The room was lovely and cosy with a fire, tv and tea/coffee making facilities and a table to be able to eat our dinner.

Going Back Again

It is always a good stay at Deer Haven. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It is just a short walk to the beach. The room was a bit cool this time. The fireplace was not working properly.

It needed a floor mat to wipe shoes on when weather is wet.

room was outdated with torn and stained carpet, the shower was missing parts on the tub, shower curtain was mildewy, the shower mat was moldy. the bed was horrible, hard. drawer on the dresser wouldn’t stay closed. me and my wife stay at a lot of hotels and for the price charged at the deer haven inn was excessively high. I have no complaints about the staff they were very friendly and polite. I will not stay here again.

Fantastico!

Staff was welcoming and extremely patient with our requests for extra towels.

Not the Inn's fault but we had to go back to work eventually. Would love to stay here for weeks at a time.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I loved the location that it is nestled near lots of trees and I had a small ocean view if I slanted way out of the window. The beds were very comfortable and the fireplace in the room was a nice touch.

the shower was not hot on the 1st night. the pressure of the shower was very weak. the room was very small and the bathroom too.

A good hotel for the money in this area within walking distance to the beach. We would like to see the management handle

The bed was extremely comfortable. It was very close to Asilomar Conference center that provides a walkway to the beach - a 10 minute walk. It was very quiet which was surprising as this is a pet friendly hotel. The room was very clean. We would stay again.

The hotel in general is in need of updating. Most of the doors need to be re-painted. Our door was hard to close so we had to slam it each time. Our friend’s room had a loud fan in the bedroom that came on every time you turned on the light. Their bathroom door squeaked. The flower beds had weeds in them. They weren’t serving any breakfast because of Covid (but aren’t we somewhat past that now?). The coffee in the rooms was not good (hardly any grounds in the little packages). Overall, the place needs to be gone over by a detailed maintenance person to fix all the minor issues.
