Do not stay here! Never again will we

Nothing, none of the amenities were working or open. They charge a resort fee per day for amenities and they did not work.

Everything. There was no working water for the first 24 hours of our stay, and our room wasn’t ready upon check in like it was supposed to be so we had to pay extra for a different room that was ready. The self parking was full so you had to valet and they charge you for it when you had no other option. We paid for our breakfast at the table and they billed our room as well. Just from start to finish the experience was horrible! And the management is not very nice or apologetic

Well when we arrived we could not park our car, we were told we had to valet, the guy rushed us out of our car as we were gathering our belongings, then check in was worse, took them over 20 mins to find a room because ours was leaking water apparently. Next the water was off for almost 16hrs, and when it did come back on our toilet would not flush took forever to get someone to fix it. Was the worst hotel experience. We were told a refund is coming. We will see!

The staff made our stay very enjoyable. The rooms needs some upgrades but we would stay again.

Employees are good, the way they handled the constitutions inconvenience to my stay was wrong and in as asin acceptable.

Customer service by the employees.

The out side of the building was under construction this resulting in super loud drilling and grinding noise for hours. And the best thing the hotel could do is have a well worded inconvenience note. I called and they said “yes we left a note for you to read” so where was this note when I was booking and paid $1400 for 3 nights. That wasn’t right and they should have done better than just leaving a note I’ll never come back.

Location, cleanliness, friendly staff

The breakfast available was a disappointment. We were told the option out of three we wanted was not available leaving us with a continental or buffet choice which was overpriced and full of carbs. Also, our waiter was not prompt leaving everything to the other waitress to take care of. When the tip is already included there is no incentive to please.

I regret choosing this location and was very disappointed.

It was close to the beach and walking distance to restaurants

I wasn't happy that we were placed across the way in the "Courtyard' rooms. I'm disabled, requested a lower floor and unable to climb stairs. This was noted in my reservation. They were outdated in everyway with dirty carpeting. This was an anniversary trip for my husband and I and it DID NOT meet our expectations for the amount of money we spent! We definitely should have booked our trip to Cancun. To be charged daily for room cleaning is ridiculous considering COVID19. The pool closing at 8pm was a bummer as well not to mention the beach chairs were taken away as well at 5pm daily.

Was locked out on skywalk trying to return to main lobby key cards did not work. Was offered a free drink at the bar however the selection was subpar. The bathrooms were filthy and the overall cleanliness was wanting.

the "oceanfront" balcony was a joke. It was ocean front but so tiny you couldn't sit there, if I was any more pregnant than I am I wouldn't have been able to even stand there. There were roaches in my room. There is a $45/night charge for parking there that I wasn't aware of til check in. Also, they double charged me for parking and I have called about 8 times to get the money returned and they still have not returned my money almost a month later. The staff was very friendly, but that's the only positive thing I can say about this place. WAAAAAY too expensive for what was offered.

Exceptional

After a debacle at another hotel, upon my arrival, I found the Bahia Mar. Right from the beginning, the hospitality was warm and welcoming. Because I had just booked the room on the booking app, my reservation wasn't showing in their system. The young lady at the desk took her time and found it, and it was nothing but good times from that point on. They made every penny spent worth it. Easy access to the beach, the pool area was always clean and even the staff there were very nice. I always saw someone cleaning the areas of the hotel and being accommodating. The restaurant staff took very good care of me as well. I was just overall pleased with this hotel.

Huge expense for low grade service

Location.

Checkin took an hour with only one person in front of us. Computers down. No room keys. Security let us in room and then locked out the rest of the night until keys could be figured out. Front staff was lost and confused with no plan B implemented by the hotel. Valet took 20 minutes upon arrival. Total chaos. Missed the wedding that we came there for. Extremely upsetting.
