location and atmosphere were good - bed was comfortable
I understand their COVID Grab n go, but breakfast was a poor offering

The beds were fairly comfortable. Location of the property was convenient being just off the 15.
Walls very thin, upkeep of property lacking, towels very thin, not much selection for breakfast at 8:30, no staff in the breakfast area to take concerns.

The Desert Garden Inn was a good place to stay with a nice homely feel about it. My room was spacious and fairly well appointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is good, not too far out of the centre of St George, with good access to nearby walking/running/riding tracks. The pool was nice, but was not heated and a bit nippy on cooler days.
The quality of the hot food associated with the complimentary breakfast was not particularly good, but the other continental breakfast items were fine. As an international visitor I found it strange that I did not have access to fresh milk for my coffee.

Pool heater was broke no night lighting working at the pool. Hot tub jets not working. No toilet paper in the room. Keys didn't work. So had to go back to the desk twice in the first hour. It really is a terrible hotel for the price. Pool side room means nothing, if you can't use the pool

It really is a terrible hotel for the price. Pool side room means nothing, if you can't use the pool. The apples were the size of an apricot for breakfast. The yogurt was sitting in water, not ice. Not a good breakfast.

it was a perfect rest day stop. great restaurant and staff.
no complaints

I loved the location of the pool. You could enjoy your time by the pool without seeing the cars going by. Noise I can tune out, that you always hear. Like traffic. Great idea, to have it in the middle of the hotel. Plus my room was pool side. So, that made it even nicer. All the staff I ran into were very pleasant. All, around a great place to stay.
The room had a sticky spot on the floor in front of the mirror. Nothing that can't be cleaned easily, and the way I booked my room was through a booking app. I had to go through the app when I wanted to stay one more night. The app was annoying. The staff was great. They helped me out with this issue.

A clean room with an entrance to the pool feels like a resort. The hot tub and gym with towels. Breakfast with eggs and bacon included. Nice restaurant for dinner.
The Internet was rather poor so if you have to work it's a problem

Nothing, I was glad we just had one night and were outta here
Disgusting carpets, not cleaned, filthy room. Poor service. Terrible breakfast, no choice of decent options…

The pool was nice. They were willing to bring me a vacuum to clean the room with.
It was a dirty room: caked food on the table we cleaned off, old food, plastic, dust bunnies, pubic hair in the shower, and previous guest dog food on the floor. It was so gross and I was so sick of pulling things from the carpet out of my dog's mouth that I called and asked for a vacuum. a worker and a manager came to the room. I explained how gross it was and the manager said she would find a way to compensate us...later to find that she didn't even put in the computer about the complaint.
Their pet area is fake grass in a HOT location and there is dried dog feces all around on that grass, smeared and in piles. It was vile and we washed off our pet's paws and never took them to it again.
There were no towels for the pool area. There is no breakfast included.
When we checked out they "generously" docked the fee for our dogs. Not worth the price, and when we found out it was under new management, we thought they would try to go above and beyond to try to make us happier, instead it was a generic email showing our bill and taking off the pet fee. Not even an apology.

Staff was super nice and helpful, remembered my name. Entering the nice lobby I thought the rooms would be nicer. I liked being able to park outside the sliding glass door, was very convenient. Pool area was nice. Had a nice Magelbys attached but unfortunately didn’t get the chance to eat there.
The carpets were so filthy. The bathroom sink smelled of mold so bad I bought bleach and ran it down the drain. Our shower had a large semi patched water damaged area on the ceiling, at some point during one day a maintenance person came in and continued to work on the patch. I appreciate the effort but we should have not been in a room in such disrepair. Would have moved rooms but we arrived at 2:30 am and we’re to tired to move rooms so we just dealt with it.
