Great place to get away and relax. The resort has so much to offer you can park your car and never use it again until your stay is over. The food is good and the servers are friendly. The pools and gym are larger what is typical at a hotel and clean. We loved the music on Saturday night!

It was all good

Drink service at the pool & in room dining. Pool tables at bar. Spa was amazing. Great dining options.

They had live music on Friday which was quite good. The rooms and bed was comfortable. They have a separate adult pool from children's pool (but oddly all pools are accessed from the gym -- more like a hotel than a resort feeling).
Food was average and no real nice place to site outside and eat. There is a food shack between the two pools with standard fair (not hot, not quaint - just average). Oddly, the rooms don't have refrigerators and the coffee machine didn't work.

The hotel was absolutely fantastic! It was spotlessly clean and had a stunning aesthetic, not to mention the wide array of activities and amenities available. The staff were incredibly friendly and always went the extra mile to make our stay memorable. We had such a great time that we're already planning our next visit. The price we paid was completely worth it for the incredible experience we had.

the grounds were beautiful. the food&drinks at Coton and Rye were good, the restaurant staff was super friendly, the room was nice (albeit, there were weird black stains on the sheets). Overall, the stay was not worth the high room rate.
as an overnight guest, you have to pay for parking. Mind you, it’s an outside lot with lots of empty spots. The front desk staff was snooty and unhelpful. We had a few questions and every answer was led by “no”. for example, we asked for some teabags for the room as there was only coffee. They told us we needed to buy teabags in the little shop next to the lobby.

The resort is convenient for a quick staycation from DC. It has plenty of open areas and next to the Potomac river. The county is filled with small family owned wineries, so there are things to do beyond the resort.
limited activities to do with young kids. No balconies.

The staff was very friendly and the Spa experience was great however needs updates.
The rooms and facility need some updating, nothing is complimentary you have to pay for absolutely everything. This is what would steer me away from staying again.

The kind staff, the clean room, the amenities.
I didn't like that they charged for parking. I understand if you used valet parking but we didn't and still had to pay.

Calm environment. Great staff from valet to restaurant.
Bathroom had no vent switch. Unannounced work and drilling on roof at 10am.

Spa is actually very good. Hotel layout itself, very nice. Lots of outdoor space, overlooking potomac. Golf course looks amazing. Plenty of nooks and fire places etc, for sitting and catching up with friends. Staff was great.
cost for parking (there's plenty of space). Bathrooms are nice, but dimly lit. Spa is pricey. but thats how it goes these days. it has sauna, hot tub, otherwise very well done

I enjoyed how many activities you could choose from. The menu options for restaurants were superb. Enjoyed the gym, pool, and hottub.
The issue with the door lock. Yes, having free coffee was nice for the inconvenience, but we were told it was fixed to then go upstairs, and it's still not fixed. Plus, we were soaking wet from the pool.
The bathroom door doesn't lock.
For how expensive the hotel was, I'm surprised it doesn't have an exhaust fan in the bathroom.
The beds are also extremely hard.
I'm surprised you have to pay extra for parking (I'd understand paying for valet, but jeez.)
Wasn't made to sign anything for a tip or total for dinner. So I had to ask the next day for the information.

The overall space of the resort, the views and breakfast was nice as well.
When booking with the resort, amenities such as the indoor pool were promoted as our kids were joining us, only for us to find out it was closed once we checked in, this was a huge disappointment. We purchased a “Love Package” for my wife and I’s anniversary and communication on how the credits could be utilized was not explained properly and we actually came out pocket for some amenities.
My wife’s spa experience on 12/24 @ 11am, was subpar to say the least as her massage therapist was not ready to start the service. She came to get my wife but then excused herself to go to the bathroom because my wife was getting out of the jacuzzi but shouldn’t the therapist have been ready beforehand? So, my wife had a seat and waited on her then they finally went to the treatment room, I do not recall her name because it was not provided. The remainder of the service was okay, again the spa package was not communicated as how it worked.

The secrecy and the quietness. The Staff were very nice and friendly the evening front desk person even gave a bottle of wine because it was anniversary. Nice please for couples during this time of the year.

Beautiful setting and fantastic staff. Friendly and “go out of their way” helpful. Arrived without baggage from Europe. They made sure we had all personal care products need to be comfortable.
Bathroom in room needed a refresh. Older model tub and fixtures. Looking a bit dingy.

It was pretty. Enjoyed seeing fall foliage. Very difficult to get rides anywhere.
I'm not a buffet fan so was sad the only breakfast available was buffet. We went offsite one morning and had a great breakfast. The rooms were fine - small - beds ok - pillows small - TV was outdated and practically unusable. Only two coffees in room in a.m. (ugh). The resort fee was very high - we weren't there for golf - what else was a resort? We were expecting something like the Gaylord in Orlando - nope.
