Great staff and clean rooms but breakfast could use improvement

Clean comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. I liked that they called to confirm our arrival time in advance.

Very good

The unique furniture was beautiful, and the bed was comfortable. The room was quiet and clean.

The front desk attendant was curt and condescending. It wasn't too welcoming to come into. There was no ice machine and when we asked for ice we got enough to fill a cup dumped into our ice bucket. The back door at the end of our hall was left open most of the time. Peope sat out there smoking which came right into our room.

Our bed, restroom, and staff were nice.

Breakfast was just bread and bagels. No cream cheese spread for bagels. No real creamer for coffee, just power creamer. Went across street to Starbucks for coffee and breakfast sandwich. Room was nice and bed was comfortable.

Windows were real dirty and filthy inside and out. Window would not lock. This is the first thing I check, especially on main floor. Had bad experience before at another motel chain when our room was broken into and wife's purse was stolen. Security is important!!

The Acorn Inn in an Affordable Delight from overpriced luxury

Friendly welcoming from the staff at check in , time efficient management help me get me to my room in just a few minutes, I wish all my Bookings went so well .

Better area to prepare food and drinks , tea , coffee, soft drink , sink by fridge and microwave to reheat take out food , wash hands before and after eating .

We always stay at the Acorn everytime we come to town. The beds are comfortable and it's reasonable priced.

I really didn't like that I booked the room two weeks ahead of time for a certain price and when I got there, they raised the room rate significantly. I think I should get charged exactly what it was when I purchased it What if I couldn't afford to pay more? I felt like it was very misleading and they took advantage of the fact that we were already there and had to have somewhere to stay. It was very dishonest

The room was very clean and spotless. It’s in a great location near shopping, grocery stores, and restaurants. I was completely satisfied with everything about this motel

Nice location. Good non-chain hotel.

Great location, check in was easy, only complaint is that it sort of smelled like smoke in the lobby sometimes and got a hint of the smell in our room for just a minute. Overall we were very happy with out stay.

It was fine for what I needed it for.

It was a nice enough room, on the older side, but clean and comfortable. There is a Walgreens and a grocery store across the street.

There's no elevator so you have to haul everything up the stairs.

Most underrated hotel on the island

Pleasantly surprised with the Acorn, clean friendly and contemporary. was told by rumor that it was not nice, but I loved it.

Good location, very comfortable

Beds were comfortable, room looked clean. Fridge and microwave worked. Great TV channel selection.

The room smelled like smoke pretty strongly and the bathroom handle was broken so it wouldn't open from outside and my kid almost got stuck in there. Luckily she finally figured out how to open it from the inside.

Convenient and comfortable for overnight Oak Harbor stay.

Clean and comfortable. Convenient location right on main highway. Interesting antique decor in rooms. Very comfortable beds.

Twas comfortable but abit too pricey.

Easy to find but the location on a busy street was abit loud. Breakfast was Ok but yoghurt or egg or fruit would have been nice.

Would have liked some fruit, protein for breakfast!

Not again

Location in city. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The desk clerk and cleaning staff were pleasant and courteous.

Facility worn. Pipes very noisy - so that the lengthy shower in next room late at night was very loud and irritating, Wi-Fi was spotty, no coffee maker or cups for making your own, windows filthy, breakfast was minimal with only carbohydrates available, tv program selection was very dated. Definitely bare bones.

Great place to stay with very large rooms!

We were given the Honeymoon Suite. Wow! What a room! It was actually like a one-bedroom apartment. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. Last time we were given a room with 3 queen beds. That was great too! I guess all the rooms must be larger than normal. We will still here again!!

I didn't like that I left my phone charger behind.
